Quick Headlines: Politics, Israel, and an Update on the Apostate Church

chuck hagel general patreaus Barack obama 2008Yesterday was the hearing for the confirmation of Chuck Hagel. I don’t know much about Hagel, but what I do know about this guy is he is a big R.I.N.O (Republican in name only). Just like John McCain, Chuck Hagel is very much ‘for’ Barack Hussein Obama’s presidency.  Just like John Kerry (D), our new Secretary of State, Chuck Hagel is vehemently anti-war but that doesn’t stop him from war mongering. Hagel is a Vietnam vet (like McCain) who then became against it (like Kerry). Hagel was for Iraq (like McCain), then became against it (like Kerry). Hagel enjoys playing both sides of the isle like McCain and Kerry. Sources: Here. Here.

John McCain and John Kerry young picThis is the last of the ‘old dogs’ who are trying to undermine America utilizing the shadow government. I believe the newer generation of politicians will just be more ‘out of the NWO closet’ so to speak when they eventually get their turn. Obama has set up for himself a group of men who all share his beliefs on Israel. Please don’t believe the lie that John McCain is a supporter of Israel. That’s like saying George W. Bush was a supporter of Israel, you have to look at what they actually do–like funding and arming the opposition forces of Israel. Yes, GWB, the same guy who gave heart felt warm and fuzzy speeches standing by Israel also sold arms to their enemies-look it up. In this regard Israel is going to have to go it alone.

Israel-Syria-airstrike-1.30.13Israel strikes Syrian military convoy outside of Damascus. There was a strike made in what is being called ‘rural Damascus’ by Israel. Source Here. Anytime Israel does anything it is condemned. In this case Israel says it hit a convoy moving arms and possibly chemical weapons that were headed for Hezbollah in Lebanon. Source Here.

The Syrian Government has been battling a civil war in which the US is funding and arming the rebels to oust elected leader and one time confidant of the US government Bashar Assad.

The United States has provided more than $200 million in humanitarian aid and other funding to the Syrian opposition. On Tuesday, President Barack Obama approved another $155 million in aid.”Source Here.

[I know what you’re thinking, where does Barack get so much money to donate to Syrian Rebels (aka AQ MB HZ etc)? Clearly it’s easy to give away money that is not yours, you heard of Obamacare right?]

protestor in Egypt 1.25.13 antiobamaOf course the UN is crying foul over Israels actions. Russia and Iran are in on the uproar. Russia and Iran are Syrian Allies. Russia’s relationship with the US has been on the chill side and has seen better days. The people in Egypt, who were once allies of Israel until the Ofama administration undermined that government, are mighty upset at Ofama these days too, ergo the United States. It appears the new proxy puppet leader for the US, Morsi, is as tyrannical as Gaddafi and less popular. The people of Egypt have lost faith in the Muslim Brotherhood (ie Obama) and are voicing their angst. Why bring up Egypt here? How about North Africa and the former Horn of Africa which seems to be in total disarray? These countries are all named in a future prophetic war against Israel. It appears that the instigator of all these countries is the United States. #Justsaying. Do with my opinion what you will it is only merely an uneducated opinion. Couple the current administration’s policy with the new faces of the New Liberal Order (Obama, Kerry, Hagel) and we’re going to be in for a dozy. But this is just politics and geopolitics, the macrocosm of the “Christian” Nation of the United States. The US is certainly not loosing it’s own moral standing, is it?

Apostasy is the undermining of America not Islam, or Chrislam, or Guns, or even Homos.

“For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?” 1 Peter 4:17

The GOP has been pumping the Evangelical “church” with the sentiment that, “We are American, thus God will Bless America, infinitely.” This is false propaganda/prophesy. As often as Glenn Beck will have David Barton on his shows it will not change the fact that there is no Biblical reference to America in the Bible or in prophetic scriptures. I don’t care how many politicians say, “God Bless America,” God can’t negate His sovereign and divine Word. The “Church” in respects to the full compilation of all believers in Jesus Christ on the planet is not solely “America.” I found this picture of Jesus handing out American flags; I don’t know who did it but it speaks volumes to the pagan diety worship of America and that many in America (the Apostate Church) have traded a Savior for a symbol, an idea, a land, an inception-America. All the Conservative Religious Right could not have done better to epitomize the flat out worship of “America” then Obama did by using the lay woman’s prayer on Inauguration day, and all the neo-cons said, “Amen!”

The compromised Church is the whore, the Jezebel, the woman riding the beast. (This is just hyperbole here, not doctrinally supported I’m not a theologian ok, I’m merely a blogger.)

decaying churchI read a tweet yesterday that lead me to a story released to all the “Christian” publications that there is a tide turning in the “Evangelical” church to “rethink” gays. What the article said in a nut shell is that “Pastors” are recognizing that young people largely support and endorse gay marriage and gays in general and these mega pastors ‘Men of the Cloth’ have noticed that if they continue spouting that homosexuality is a sin in need of repentance than conversely their numbers dial back and they lose member$hip. Now even the good ol boys of the “Baptist” creed are steering clear of mentioning homosexuality too much. The article reads like this is all good and is going to help ‘widen’ the road for greater acceptance of “Christ,” so long as the Church doesn’t offend the homos anymore. Source Here. Whhaaa?? So it wasn’t enough that we deduced Jesus to an American only Savior, now He’s going to ignore His own WORD and invite homosexuals into the fold without repentance, without conversion, and of course without bothering to accept Jesus Christ as the Son of God and the only propitiation for our sin. You see how decrepit morally the church in America is, do you think that the church in other countries is fairing any better? If we exclude location and consider simply where God’s body (the Church as a whole) stands we’d find it’s not standing at all, it’s in decay, it’s being judged. Opening up and allowing sin in any form into the church is exactly why young people see no reason for church-Duh! If they go to church seeking a way out from under their sin and find out that the pastor is post-modern in his thinking and preaching and doesn’t challenge the sin that keeps one in bonds to the devil than there is no hope in Jesus, there is no need of a savior if your sins are “ok” and not preached on, then why bother going to church? The mega pastors who get financed via political lobbyists will have to give an account. In the mean time if you’re out there lost in your sin drowning and searching for a way out, don’t look to a pastor or a church to save you, look to the Son of God Jesus Christ and read the word of God, seek Him and He will answer.

Christian Snobbery, Why some Christians are better than others

I must apologize straightaway. I am not a theologian, I’m not an expert in Doctrines, I am certainly not claiming to “teach” anyone scripture or interpretation on this blog. I’m Saved, Regenerate, Born Again, and sold out to my Lord Jesus Christ. I know who I was, I know I was destined for hell in my sin and for some reason Christ sought me, He called me (more than once because I didn’t accept the first time I heard the gospel) and I finally humbly and full hearted accepted Him as my Savior and my Lord. I don’t fit in any mold of denominations. I’m not anything; I’m not a Baptist, I’m not Evangelical, I’m not a member of any Church. I know what I’m opposed to and I’m still a willing vessel to learn and know my God, the Father, and His son, My Savior Jesus Christ through His Holy Spirit. Now apologies set aside for knowing little about “learned theology” I have some observations and some questions for you-the body of Christ.

The Apocrypha

What I know about this topic is that the Apocrypha is a set of uncannonized books that are not included in the Bible that I have at home. I always had some understanding that the “Apocrypha” was for Catholics. I’m not a Catholic. I figured that because it’s not in the Bible and “uncannonized” that it is not God’s Word and thus I’ve never read it. Recently, perhaps in the last five years, it appears that more and more “Christians” are reading the Apocrypha and are claiming to have a more well rounded astute understanding of Theology because of it. That or they are as lost as I was when I tried to read it and then they just say they’re better than me because they read more and understood less!

Here’s an explanation by another blogger since I lack any intelligent response here:

The Apocrypha is a collection of uninspired, spurious books written by various individuals. The Catholic religion considers these books as scripture just like a Bible-believer believes that our 66 books are the word of God, i.e., Genesis to Revelation. We are going to examine some verses from the Apocrypha later in our discussion.

At the Council of Trent (1546) the Roman Catholic institution pronounced the following apocryphal books sacred. They asserted that the apocryphal books together with unwritten tradition are of God and are to be received and venerated as the Word of God. So now you have the Bible, the Apocrypha and Catholic Tradition as co-equal sources of truth for the Catholic. In reality, the Bible is the last source of truth for Catholics. Roman Catholic doctrine comes primarily from tradition stuck together with a few Bible names. In my reading of Catholic materials, I find notes like this: “You have to keep the Bible in perspective.” Catholics have been deceived into not believing that the Bible is God’s complete revelation for man [but they can come out of these deceptions in an instant if they will only believe the Bible as it is written].

The Roman Catholic Apocrypha Tobit

Wisdom
Ecclesiasticus
Baruch
First and Second Maccabees
Additions to Esther and Daniel

Apocryphal Books rejected by the Catholic Religion:

First and Second Esdras
Prayer of Manasses
Susanna*

*A reader says: “Susanna is in the Roman Catholic canon. It is Daniel 13.”

Why the Apocrypha Isn’t in the Bible.

  1. Not one of the apocryphal books is written in the Hebrew language which was used in the Old Testament. All Apocryphal books are in Greek, except one which is extant only in Latin.
  2. None of the apocryphal writers laid claim to inspiration.
  3. The apocryphal books were never acknowledged as sacred scriptures by the Jews, custodians of the Hebrew scriptures (the apocrypha was written prior to the New Testament). In fact, the Jewish people rejected and destroyed the apocrypha after the overthow of Jerusalem in 70 A.D.
  4. The apocryphal books were not permitted among the sacred books during the first four centuries of the real Christian church (I’m certainly not talking about the Catholic religion which is not Christian).
  5. The Apocrypha contains fabulous statements which not only contradict the “canonical” scriptures but themselves. For example, in the two Books of Maccabees, Antiochus Epiphanes is made to die three different deaths in three different places.
  6. The Apocrypha includes doctrines in variance with the Bible, such as prayers for the dead and sinless perfection. The following verses are taken from the Apocrypha translation by Ronald Knox dated 1954:Basis for the doctrine of purgatory:

    2 Maccabees 12:43-45, 2.000 pieces of silver were sent to Jerusalem for a sin-offering…Whereupon he made reconciliation for the dead, that they might be delivered from sin.

    Salvation by works:

    Ecclesiasticus 3:30, Water will quench a flaming fire, and alms maketh atonement for sin.Tobit 12:8-9, 17, It is better to give alms than to lay up gold; for alms doth deliver from death, and shall purge away all sin.

    Magic:

    Tobit 6:5-8, If the Devil, or an evil spirit troubles anyone, they can be driven away by making a smoke of the heart, liver, and gall of a fish…and the Devil will smell it, and flee away, and never come again anymore.

    Mary was born sinless (immaculate conception):

    Wisdom 8:19-20, And I was a witty child and had received a good soul. And whereas I was more good, I came to a body undefiled.

  7. It teaches immoral practices, such as lying, suicide, assassination and magical incantation.
  8. No apocryphal book is referred to in the New Testament whereas the Old Testament is referred to hundreds of times.
  9. Because of these and other reasons, the apocryphal books are only valuable as ancient documents illustrative of the manners, language, opinions and history of the East. (End of Source: Click here for the rest of the topic/link is not an endorsement)

(N4TM Commentary)

If you’re wondering, “What does the Apocrypha have to do with anything,” let me clue you in. Some people use buzz words like, “Church Fathers” and “Early Christianity,” and what they mean is now they are reading the Apocrypha and other Catholic reading material to sound like they are more versed and have a greater knowledge of the Word of God because of it. You may have heard of the “Emergent” movement but it really means nothing unless you understand that what they are really doing is trying to discover God through other means and other readings beside the Bible. These people still have a heart for God and want to be Christians who know Christ, but they get caught up in the “Zen” of the matter. They want to be trendy, they want to have that gnostic knowledge that is not dished out on a happy Sunday morning sermon. So they go the way of the “Christian Rebel” and read books that have been “banned” for a lack of a better word by the Protestant church. These people seem more confused than anything and less knowledgeable in my own opinion. These “experts” you listen to, they have read these extra-biblical books, they may not tell you, but you hear them quoting it often you just don’t pay attention. It’s not just the Apocrypha either, the newest and latest coolness factor is reading Jewish extra biblical writings.

The Book of Enoch

The Book of Enoch (also 1 Enoch[1]) is an ancient Jewish religious work, traditionally ascribed to Enoch, the great-grandfather of Noah. It is not part of the biblical canon as used by Jews, apart from Beta Israel. It is regarded as canonical by the Ethiopian Orthodox Church and Eritrean Orthodox Church, but no other Christian group.

The older sections (mainly in the Book of the Watchers) are estimated to date from about 300 BC, and the latest part (Book of Parables) probably was composed at the end of the 1st century BC.[2]

It is wholly extant only in the Ge’ez language, with Aramaic fragments from the Dead Sea Scrolls and a few Greek and Latin fragments. For this and other reasons, the traditional Ethiopian view is that the original language of the work was Ge’ez, whereas non-Ethiopian scholars tend to assert that it was first written in either Aramaic or Hebrew; E. Isaac suggests that the Book of Enoch, like the Book of Daniel, was composed partially in Aramaic and partially in Hebrew.[3]:6

A short section of 1 Enoch (1 En 1:9) is quoted in the New Testament (Letter of Jude 1:14–15), and is there attributed to “Enoch the Seventh from Adam” (1 En 60:8). It is argued that all the writers of the New Testament were familiar with it and were influenced by it in thought and diction.[4]

The first part of the Book of Enoch describes the fall of the Watchers, the angels who fathered the Nephilim. The remainder of the book describes Enoch’s visits to heaven in the form of travels, visions and dreams, and his revelations.

The book consists of five quite distinct major sections (see each section for details):

  • The Book of the Watchers (1 Enoch 1 – 36)
  • The Book of Parables of Enoch (1 Enoch 37 – 71) (Also called the Similitudes of Enoch)
  • The Astronomical Book (1 Enoch 72 – 82) (Also called the Book of the Heavenly Luminaries or Book of Luminaries)
  • The Book of Dream Visions (1 Enoch 83 – 90) (Also called the Book of Dreams)
  • The Epistle of Enoch (1 Enoch 91 – 108)

Most scholars share the view[5] that these five sections were originally independent works (with different dates of composition), themselves a product of much editorial arrangement, and were only later redacted into what we now call 1 Enoch.

Józef Milik has suggested that the Book of Giants found among the Dead Sea Scrolls should be part of the collection, appearing after the Book of Watchers in place of the Book of Parables, but for various reasons, Milik’s theory has not been widely accepted.

Judaism

Although evidently widely known at the time of the Development of the Hebrew Bible canon, 1 Enoch was excluded from both the formal canon of the Tanakh and the typical canon of the Septuagint and therefore, also the writings known today as the Deuterocanon.[6][7] One possible reason for Jewish rejection of the book might be the textual nature of several early sections of the book that make use of material from the Torah; for example, 1 En 1 is a midrash of Deuteronomy 33.[8][9] The content, particularly detailed descriptions of fallen angels, would also be a reason for rejection from the Hebrew canon at this period – as illustrated by the comments of Trypho the Jew when debating with Justin Martyr on this subject. Trypho: “The utterances of God are holy, but your expositions are mere contrivances, as is plain from what has been explained by you; nay, even blasphemies, for you assert that angels sinned and revolted from God.” (Dialogue 79) (END OF QUOTE: SOURCE WIKIPEDIA)

(N4TM)

The book of Enoch is very popular right now. I guess it has been historically important when false teachers desire to deceive the body of Christ, so it’s not just popular now. This book is quoted often by “Teachers” and “Experts” in “discerning Jesus’ intelligence briefing to his disciples of what to expect during the last days.” My contention is the experts who use this book as their source often play around in coded messages and don’t flat out tell their “followers” that they are using the Book of Enoch and the Apocrypha and Jewish mysticism to feed the undiscerning their theories. Why, if it takes such a genius to read these extra biblical books, are the teachers and experts not more forth coming with where they are getting their interpretations and knowledge? I had never heard of Gemetria or Kabalah until one particular “Christian Bible Teacher” mentioned it as a “warning.” When I heard it referenced and quoted repeatedly in the context as a source and not as a warning I began to think, this is how the “expert” got his knowledge, maybe I should get into this stuff so I can “discern” and understand the Last Days better! I thought it was a brilliant idea (at the time). It only lead to more confusion.

Perhaps I am meant to be elementary. Maybe all I can aspire to is a 6th grade understanding of the Scriptures and the Doctrines that saved my life. Maybe all that time I was raised believing that UFO’s were not real was a lie and there are truly Aliens (disguised Demons); and others who have degrees and military intelligence sources are better than me. I am a nobody, no one important, just a dumb ole sheep who can’t understand the truths in the Apocrypha and Deuterocanon. I’m a doomed soul who will never know a truth greater than God sending His only begotten Son into the World, perfect, unblemished, God incarnate, to die a brutal death for my sins, to atone for me who had yet to be born, and as a result of my belief in Him and what He has done I have been forgiven of my sins and saved from hell. I mean that sounds like small potatoes compared to knowing ‘M theory,’ portals,  hyper-dimensions, and how numbers mean stuff in the bible (numerology/Gemetria). I could be one of those Überman (woman) if I could only get through more than a chapter of Nietzsche. I could jump through cognitive loop holes in the polar polymeric monoliths if only I could project my soul out of my body but lo I can’t (nor do I have a desire to) and I’m not as good of a Christian as those that can. I’m definitely not as smart as them that can do such things.

I think I’ll wear my ignorance button with pride than if all I will ever be able to understand is: God is and forever will be, that’s good enough for me.

I am fully capable of researching and reading. I do not need nor am I asking for an explanation of Apocrypha/The Book of Enoch, or any other extra biblical teachings. I am resourceful and can do my own digging. My question to you dear brethren is, “Why do Christians believe they are better than other Christians because they indulge their fantasies in extra biblical teachings?” I was a Philosophy minor at one time, a Psychology major at another time. I’m not willfully ignorant of these extra biblical teachings, I am cognizant of them. Some false teachings I am better at discerning than others; however, the purpose is always the same in every case: Get the Christian away from Christ, away from the true Word of God and keep them busy and misguided. The results of deception are: a useless and not so powerful Christian. I’m not better than a theologian or a seminary grad, nor are they better than myself. We will not be judged by how many bible classes we took. There’s enough reason to be aware of these teachings if only to discern when you’re being taught false doctrine and given false prophecies based on writings and interpretations of teachings that are not Biblical- Divinely inspired. Time is short, just based on life expectancy, not to mention the situations going on around us. This case of Christian snobbery reminds me of a pair of brothers who wanted to be seated at the right and left hand of Jesus… (Matthew 20:20-28)

20 Then the mother of the sons of Zebedee came to Jesus with her sons, bowing down and making a request of Him. 21 And He said to her, “What do you wish?” She said to Him, “Command that in Your kingdom these two sons of mine may sit one on Your right and one on Your left.” 22 But Jesus answered, “You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink?” They said to Him, “We are able.” 23 He said to them, “My cup you shall drink; but to sit on My right and on My left, this is not Mine to give, but it is for those for whom it has been prepared by My Father.”
24 And hearing this, the ten became indignant with the two brothers. 25 But Jesus called them to Himself and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great men exercise authority over them. 26 “It is not this way among you, but whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant, 27 and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave; 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

I’m gonna knock you out

There are people who “warn” you about false doctrines and false Christs but with a slight of hand they are promoting false doctrines, covering for their friends, and for a  time make “frienemies” for a mutual cause serving their dual purposes. It’s not really that hard to find out who they are and who they support. Here are some tell tell signs of a double agent.

Identifiers of the Double-minded, fork tongued, fake discernment camps:

1) They write extensively on ONE topic while seemingly ignoring other topics.

example: Speaker A warns exclusively on “Emergent” but never on the corrupt churches they speak at for their conferences.

2) They write extensively on ONE topic while seemingly ignoring other topics.

example: Site that warns on New Age Movement but never addresses the New Age Movement’s influence on the churches they speak at or sell their books at.

3) They warn on a number of false doctrines: Emergent, Purpose Driven, Influence of Rome, Islam, Post-Modernism; however they never disclose the role of the primary church they speak at in any of those areas. Miraculously the role of the very churches they attend to do their conferences are never mentioned in the same vast conspiracies that seem to encompass all of Christianity except the one they prefer to do their business with.

4) They may take on the golden goose on occasion and warn about favored and adored Pastors, however, they continue to work with those same people outside of the area that you are familiar with which may be but not limited to the following:

Movies, Books, international markets, exchanging fellow speakers, authors, experts into other denominations such as Baptists, Nazarene, Presbyterian, and other various forms of Non-Denominational churches.

5) They are members of “various boards” for various “ministries” and/or “churches” and/or “institutions” that are both in the US and/or other countries, however they NEVER fully disclose which boards they are members of for any of these.

6) They have various sites for one ministry, ghost sites, and/or they use various people and sources for their various sites but retain the impression that they are the “expert” and do not disclose that they are receiving their “information” from others who do their grunt work.

7) They have the same vague bio on every site they are on, for every book and/or film they’ve ever done. You can’t find out specific information and it appears they appear from nowhere but are suddenly experts and suddenly the “go to guy/girl” on the topic they are espoused to be an expert on.

8) They will “expose” their friends for certain mistakes but ignore the greater sins they are aware of because they have long loyalty ties to the person and/or their funds to their various ministries depend on whether or not they cover by saying nothing, or limiting what they say to only address vague concerns meanwhile turning the table on the person who brings up the suspicion.

9) They are part of a vast network of “volunteers” and people who seek to remain anonymous when in reality it’s only one or two people trolling the internet using other people’s material for their own gain.

10) LOOK AT THEIR LINKS PAGES, WHO COMMENTS, WHO LINKS TO THEM, WHO THEY SHARE PULPITS WITH, WHOM THEY’VE HAD EXTENSIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH, AND THAT WILL TELL YOU WHERE THEIR LOYALTIES LIE. They will send you an email saying “Check out this latest expose” and their own home page shows they are promoting the BFF of the person they just exposed!! That means it’s controlled opposition and meant to mislead and distract.

Wake up ppl.

**bonus qualifiers:

They are one person but they write volumes of books and/or movies and travel the WORLD on no other income outside of their love offering for having them over to speak!??

If it is a Church, and they are not successful and are often at risk of “going under” financially, however they seemingly have a wellspring of fund$ that comes to the rescue at every single “brink of destruction” moment, which is always dubbed as a “work of God.” Chances are they are getting money from a slush fund somewhere, or, they all have the same benevolent grand-pu-bah that sends money in emergencies.

They have Non-believer experts at their church speak from the pulpit whom they say they are “praying for” however after decades long relationships the unsaved is no more swayed for Christ than the day they first met, so maybe they’re both “birds of a feather.”

They have LLC’s, INC’s, 501c’s, lawyers, and advisers, extensive lawsuit trails, change addresses and phone numbers more often than Tammy Fae changed her fake eyelashes.

They have counterintelligence training.

They are a “Pastor” with absolutely no formal training and/or theological knowledge.

They are a “Pastor” with many degrees, honorary doctorates, Master’s of Divinity, however they know nothing nor teach any doctrinal truths from the pulpit.

They have Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, Linkedin, blogs, podcasts, and video libraries of all their expert sermons, advice, topical speeches, however you have to pay for them.

Apostasy, Apocalypse, and A New Year

Apostasy.

So far this year the falling away seems to be in full swing and leaving no one “Left Behind.” Every denomination and Non-Denomination ‘Denomination’ has had its fair share of truly demonic forces at work. The sheep are highly desensitized, they are conditioned, groomed, primed for the rise of Anti-Christ. Pastors and leaders, authors and “Discernment” types have lead the sheep into a trap of not being able to recognize salt and light or a semblance of what true Biblical Doctrine is. This year has been a year of unheeded warnings and can only lead to further delusion. While you are ushered into your latest “Prophesy Conference” and asked to pass on secular produced DVD’s on the End Days but told to refrain from using Christian ‘buzz’ words I want you to merely stop and ask yourself if anything they are telling you is truly of the mind of Christ (scroll down to read section in Green highlight). Simply testing what the bible scholars, pastors, and “Discernment” ministries are force feeding you will be the first step in the recovery of the indwelling and use of the Holy Spirit in your life. If you are truly born again, called by the Lord, I think it is not too much for God to show you the truth. This site has many “news” type articles that have to do with the world, and there are exhortations and exposes, however all the while I beg and plead with you, the reader, to do your own research; to test the spirits, and to read the Word of God. Trust in the Lord your God.

1 Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, 2 that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. 3 Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. 5 Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things? 6 And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. 8 Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; 9 that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of  Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, 10 and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of  the truth so as to be saved. 11 For this reason God will send upon them a  deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, 12 in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.~2 Thess. 2:1-12

Apocalypse.

2012 is not the End of the World. Why Pastor’s are not screaming this from the rooftops is beside me. Instead I’ve seen books coming out of “Christendom” that try to capitalize on the false prophesy of the Mayan Calendar. Bible scholar$, theologian$, researcher$, discernment speaker$, “Pastor$,” have been putting their names on books that try to morph Christian Bible Prophesy with Paganism. I expect no less from the secular world but seriously, Church, wake up! When you see a photo of a Mayan temple as the backdrop for your “Leader’s” latest sermon on 2012 or New Years or Prophesy you should turn around and run!

The Lord has answered what the signs will be at the end and of His return, no need to buy any other book.

Mark 13

1And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!  2And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.  3And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,  4Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?  5And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you:  6For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.  7And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.  8For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.  9But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.  10And the gospel must first be published among all nations.  11But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.  12Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.  13And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.  14But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:  15And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house:  16And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment.  17But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!  18And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter.  19For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.  20And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.  21And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:  22For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.  23But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.  24But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,  25And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.  26And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.  27And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.  28Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:  29So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.  30Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.  31Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.  32But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.  33Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.  34For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.  35Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cock crowing, or in the morning:  36Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.  37And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

A New Year.

The new year is upon us and many would love to put this past year behind us. There is something to said about reflecting on the year gone by, if not for any other reason than to remember lessons learned and not go forward in ignorance. I love Philippians 3:13-16, it’s a great set of verses to get a perspective on looking ahead, however it is sandwiched in between a great warning and a stern exhortation; for this reason I will put the entire chapter:

1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things again is no trouble to me, and it is a safeguard for you.

2 Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil workers, beware of the false circumcision; 3 for we are the true circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh, 4 although I myself might have confidence even in the flesh. If anyone else has a mind to put confidence in the flesh, I far more: 5 circumcised the eighth day, of the nation of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; as to the Law, a Pharisee; 6as to zeal, a persecutor of the church; as to the righteousness which is in the Law, found blameless.

7 But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ. 8 More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ, 9 and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith, 10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death; 11 in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.

12 Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. 13 Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. 15 Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that also to you; 16 however, let us keep living by that same standard to which we have attained.

17 Brethren, join in following my example, and observe those who walk according to the pattern you have in us. 18 For many walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even weeping, that they are enemies of the cross of Christ, 19 whose end is destruction, whose god is their appetite, and whose glory is in their shame, who set their minds on earthly things. 20For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; 21who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.

Blog Update 2.21.11

Just so you know I am very grateful to all those who visit this site. Whether you completely disagree with me or agree is not relevant. This is an update only to say, although I check in on comments and stats daily; I may not upload new stories but that’s because I tweet! If you follow me on twitter you know what stories are the most important to me. If you don’t want to start a Twitter account you can check here and read my latest tweets-or open my twitter page every now and then.

As a ‘hat tip’ I will tell you I’m closely following: Libya, Yemen, Bahrain, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Wisconsin (lol), Egypt, Israel, Suez Canal, Earthquakes: Arkansas (New Madrid Fault line), Chile, Japan, Washington, Cali, and today–New Zealand. Other hot spots: Yellowstone, Mt. St. Helen’s, Philippines; and as always the apostasy of the church.

I would petition the brethren at this time to be praying for the body of believers in these volatile places and for the salvation of many in the same countries. God will bring GLORY to HIS name. There is no other way to the FATHER, YHWH, except through HIS son Jesus the Christ.

Psalm 62

1My soul waits in silence for God only;From Him is my salvation.

2He only is my rock and my salvation,

My stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken.
3How long will you assail a man,
That you may murder him, all of you,
Like a leaning wall, like a tottering fence?
4They have counseled only to thrust him down from his high position;
They delight in falsehood;
They bless with their mouth,
But inwardly they curse. Selah.
5My soul, wait in silence for God only,
For my hope is from Him.
6He only is my rock and my salvation,
My stronghold; I shall not be shaken.
7On God my salvation and my glory rest;
The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God.
8Trust in Him at all times, O people;
Pour out your heart before Him;
God is a refuge for us. Selah.
9Men of low degree are only vanity and men of rank are a lie;
In the balances they go up;
They are together lighter than breath.
10Do not trust in oppression
And do not vainly hope in robbery;
If riches increase, do not set your heart upon them.
11Once God has spoken;
Twice I have heard this:
That power belongs to God;
12And loving kindness is Yours, O Lord,
For You recompense a man according to his work.

A reminder to those who are putting their trust in ‘man;’ there is one Savior, one Rock, one Messiah, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Sadly many of the brethren today are consumed with salvation through patriotism and it simply won’t suffice. G-d will not share His glory with another. Conservatives were angered in 2008 when Liberals hailed Barack Obama as their awaited ‘messiah.’ Why these same Conservative Christians idolize GOP and/or Tea Party candidates is beyond me. Apparently we have not learned our lesson. Instead we have sought to vote in a messiah of a different political party. On the way down the WIDE road of Conservative Christianity the Interfaith modality is gaining momentum. The radical left had done what it could to widen the road for all religions, but they themselves failed miserably compared to what the religious right has succeeded in doing by joining hands with Glenn Beck. I wish no ill toward our country, I mourn for it. However, I will not take the same wide road as some of my brothers and sisters who have fallen away are on. I will walk the narrow road and enter by the straight gate.

Matthew 7:12-14

12Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

13Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
