Millions Watch The History Channel Version of the Bible

“The History Channel said the premiere of “The Bible” attracted 14.8 million viewers. The first two-hour installment aired Sunday.

Four more episodes of the miniseries will be broadcast each Sunday night this month.

The series was produced by actress Roma Downey, of “Touched by an Angel” fame, and Mark Burnett, producer of reality TV shows like “Survivor” and “The Amazing Race.” (And “The Voice”) Source CBN (not an endorsement).

Disclaimer: I do not have cable, hence I have not seen this miniseries.

I’m just going to guess based on years and years of misrepresenting the Holy Scriptures that the History Channel will not accurately portray scripture. Just my wild ideas that this miniseries has more to do with making MONEY than with sharing the true word of God and true Doctrines by which my Christian faith is based on. I’m going to go out on a limb and say before this miniseries is over it will somehow morph into an Ecumenical love feast and dilute the saving power of Christ’s blood that was shed on the Cross for our sins. I’m going to venture to say that there will be inserted shadows of other religions portrayed in the film with a favorable look so that the viewer who might be Christian will have a more compromised empathetic view of these other cults and religions that sell lies and immatate Christianity. But this is me and my pessimestic conspiratorial thought process, who am I to say.

“The Voice” producer Mark Burnett and wife, former actress Roma Downey. I don’t know anything about these people. I vaugly see that they were on Glenn Beck’s show promoting their miniseries. My readers know that I do not trust Glenn Beck and I count him as a false teacher, one who is leading Christians away from the One true God into a Christ “consiousness” type of theology that matches Beck’s Mormonism and false god Moroni. So, sigh, I am willing to hear from you if you’ve watched it and found it to be an “exact” and “accurate” rendering of the Word of God, however, like I said I’m going to guess that ultimately the power of CGI will delude even more of my brethren and lead them astray…

God is Good. Jesus is Good. If you are hurting or tired please know that you’ll never find hope or peace outside of the Living God, His Son-Jesus Christ. If you are sad and are looking for answers you must look to the author and finisher of your faith. If you are already a Christian and are in the midst of suffering than you already know where to go; and that is back into the loving arms of your Redeemer. If you don’t know Christ Jesus as your Savior and Lord of your life I tell you the truth, you will not find hope or truth anywhere else. There are many versions of truths but all fail miserably in the light of scripture and the truth concerning the person and diety of Jesus Christ.

Acts 4:12 “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

I realize I spend a lot of time on this blog reporting and comentating on things of this world. If I had the education, training, and means (a job) it would be in the field of journalism but God did not call me to be a journalist. I never went to school for journalism, I have two Bachelor’s degrees in other disciplines not in journalism. I have never worked for any publications, I merely blog. What has God called me to do? It’s not this blog ironically, it has nothing to do with “news” or even with “warning the church about false teachers.” My calling is to be His child, His daughter, who is willing to do whatever He commands me to do.

Refreshing in His power.

Last week’s story about the cop killer really took my joy and my assurance of the fleeting idea of security in this world. I have been reminded that my joy is «In the Lord» and my assurance of safety is «In the Lord.» Yup, I admit I was obsessed with that story and it bothered me that people were lifting up a killer. It upset me that there is a “love” of evil in this world and it is increasing. Those truths were disturbing, depressing, and it was draining. I heard God’s word this weekend. I heard it until I heard exactly what God had intended me to hear. He had something specific for me to hear and I waited upon the Holy Spirit to minister, and when I heard it I rejoiced! The Word of God washed over me and cleansed my soul from the unclean foulness of the world that had consumed me, albeit by my doing, that prior week. This is what God told me, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

I know my Lord. I know what He said to me in those verses. I will keep that hidden in my heart but I know that His word can minister to others and perhaps someone out there in the blogosphere needs to hear (read) those verses today. False Peace, False Hope, and Real Lies

UN Backed “Cease Fire” for Syria has failed-

The perceived power of the United Nations is a palpable fear in the US since one of it’s subsidiaries has been “INVITED” to monitor the US Presidential Elections (see last post); however, despite the UN’s constant impotence at securing anything people are still afraid. The UN can’t keep a peace agreement and this has been proven by time and experience so it’s no wonder it could not secure a cease fire in Syria for even four measly days. Syria is back to bombing it’s residents and the “Rebels” (ergo Islamic Jihadists) are back to fighting the government. What does this mean for Syria? Fox news is reporting that “Diplomacy” is a failure with Assad and that “talks” can only go so far, so whereas we might see the UN as a failure as most people do, they really are succeeding at their ulterior motive and that is to set a precedence and a means for Aggressive Action, ie Military Intervention. Who’ll take on the role as “teeth” when it comes to intervening in Syria? Potus Obama is busy thwarting the media in talking about Benghazi and his role in selling ARMS and providing capital to Islamic Jihadis from Yemen to Lebanon so he’s useless. Africom is busy with the psychological warfare aspect and Saudi Arabia and Jordon are well aware that their numbers are coming up soon, so the one in play currently and the one that stands to gain much and lose much is Turkey. Turkey is engaged already and could play a vital role for the EU and the US. As long as Russia and China stay away it’ll be a regional war and not a “World War” cause who wants a “World War” when you can compartmentalize war to a limited area and people? (sarcasm).

Brahimi hopes to end the conflict that has killed at least 32,000 people and further destabilized the Middle East. It began with a popular revolt in March last year against four decades of authoritarian rule by Assad and his late father, Hafez al-Assad.

The ceasefire won international support, including from Russia, China and Iran, President Assad’s main foreign allies.

But the truce seems destined to share the fate of failed peace efforts that have preceded it, with dozens of people continuing to be killed daily and international and regional powers at odds while they back different sides.

False Hope

In 2008 there was a fervor that blanketed the hearts and minds of Americans when they elected the first bi-racial President, Barack Hussein Obama. Since his inception as Potus he’s failed to sustain the hysteria; and, most of that fervor for “Hope and Change” has been met with an embarrassing admittance that celebrity doesn’t change Washington nor does bowing to our enemies and pumping them with greenbacks subdue our enemies abroad. So now the opposite party is a buzz with “Hope.” I see the same vanity that fueled the Liberal Left of 2008 sweeping into the starry eyes of those in the Conservative Right camp as they gaze upon the “RR” ticket. That’s Romney\Ryan for those who don’t know. Will the, Left of Center of the “Right,” Republican Party candidate Mitt Romney with his, Greek Styled Austerity Measures Planner young buck Paul Ryan, change America into a moral and righteous bride again? It would be a false hope to believe that two men, a Mormon and a Catholic are going to turn the tides of Apostasy and moral backsliding that America has been under the influence of for at least two generations that I have come to perceive in my own short life time. Christians are blindly supporting this Ecumenical political ticket. It seems like a misnomer to point out the highly liberal ideologies the GOP ticket is representing these days. Austerity Measures that Paul Ryan is going to put forth would be an abomination under a Democratic ticket, but since it’s painted in Red it is palatable for Conservatives. Obama’s Health Care measures were modeled after Mitt Romney’s socialized form of health care when he was Governor of Massachusetts. I hate to burst the Conservative bubble but a Republican President is not going to remove all the liberal legislation that Obama put in and it’s only going to get worse if you honestly believe the Bible when it comes to the “End Days” morally speaking. I know, I’m the heavy.

Can we all just, Coexist?

If the Bible is true, and there is only one way to the Father and that is through Jesus Christ, can we all just get along with one another? It seems like these days patriots are hammering for America the Utopia not America the beautiful. Dominionist ideology has crept in so masterfully into conservative branches it’s ridiculous. If the Romney Ryan ticket doesn’t spell Ecumenical I don’ t know what more the Bride of Christ is waiting for. Perhaps one day there will be a Hindu President or even an openly Gay Muslim, but even Islam prohibits homosexuality so who knows how much further we’ll slide as a country and a Church. Would we have thought fifty years ago America would look like the adulteress she is now? I’m speaking spiritually here. There are abominations in the Bible that just don’t sit well with our Lord. He is a Jealous God and He does not share His glory with any other gods. I love that in America we have religious liberty to worship any god or no god, because this allows me worship THEE GOD with no fear of religious persecution; however, if and when the day comes that America’s whoredom exceeds its own self and out laws the worship and belief in the one True God who’s Son is Jesus Christ whom by no other name can one be saved, then I will err on the side of Worshiping my God at the risk of all. This is something few people can fathom I understand, but I’m speaking if it comes down to that in this country. Although I love my freedoms, my God comes first. Patriotism in this country is near or at an idolatrous status. It is because of this Idolatry of “America the Utopia” coupled with the fornication with other ‘”gods” via the Ecumenical road in the US, on both sides of isle, that I believe there will be many people who will willingly sacrifice their faith for a semblance of “liberty.”   The Ecumenical road’s banner would be, “We are all Christians Now.” The “Coexisters” who have white washed any absolute truth have succeeded in making doctrinal truth obsolete. It’s only a hop skip and a jump to abandon the fact that Salvation is only won through Christ because nowadays everyone’s faith is true hence none are true. There are real lies being told out there, one of the biggest ones is that all other faiths are just as Christian as the “Christians.”

Real Lies.

There are real lies and they are usually presented in pretty packages with truth as a covering. Can you discern the difference? It’s important, it’s vital. Vital means it’s essential for life. If you want to live you have to know the difference between life and lies. One lie more recently has to do with the situation in Benghazi, Libya. Most people who are screaming for justice and demanding the MSM (Main Stream Media) atone for their sin of not reporting the “facts” were the same people who bought the lie that the attack on the US Embassy in Benghazi had to do with a YouTube Video on Islam. These same people I see tweeting #Standdown which is a catch phrase on twitter that points to the failure of the Obama administration to rescue our Ambassador and three other service men; are the ones who were condemning Islam and mocking the faith of those in North Africa for rioting over the YouTube film. Now all of a sudden these bots are demanding “Truth” on Benghazi and justice. I hate to point out the obvious here, but “I told you so.” I called it from the beginning and it’s not to my credit at all, once you’ve accustomed yourself to recognizing lies their story fell apart as it came out their mouth that very same day and to me anyway it was that obvious. Perhaps I had more insight because I already knew the CIA was funneling arms to AlQaeda in Libya and Egypt. Funding Muslim Brotherhood for years and taking out “dictators” (sovereign leaders of sovereign nations who were actually already in the US pocket and whom were buffering full out persecution of the minority of Christians in those particular countries). How much more important it is to discern the lies you’re being told everyday from false teachers, cult leaders, blind and deluded fellow “Christians” who ask you to forsake the name of the one who bought your salvation for the price of “Freedom” and “Liberty?” I would venture to think that discerning those lies are more important than a fake news story. In the days following, leading up to the election, and even past the election there will be many lies but none are as vital than knowing that there is Truth, there is One who is always Truth, there is One unchanging and perfectly absolutely incomprehensible beautiful sacrifice for our disgusting morally corrupt self seeking selves and that is Christ Jesus. This post was not intended to go this way of “preaching” but it seems I feel hard pressed this evening to convey that “news” and “fake news” is the least of importance when I meditate on the fact that I have been forgiven of my sin and have Salvation that nothing in this world can shake or take away. That is a peace that defies all understanding, and I want you to have that if you don’t already. There are storms on the horizon, both literally and metaphorically, wouldn’t you want to know that no matter what happens there’s one thing Real amongst all the lies? Know Him. Seek Him. Terror in Wisconsin

In Wisconsin a gunman came to a Sikh Temple and shot and killed 7 people. An officer returned fire and killed the shooter.

On my way home this afternoon I opened my Twitter app up to find this news being broadcast. I heard small bits of news from a CNN satellite broadcast that the gunman was “White, had a 9-11 tattoo, wore a white T-shirt and black pants.” Some of the tweets (Tweets have to be discerned carefully since they are always developing in real time) had stated there was a possibility of more than one shooter but I have not heard this confirmed since more information has come out. I do not have cable tv so what I get is usually pieced together from various online sources and online tv. It takes me longer to process than other blogs. This is obviously a deep tragedy and a senseless act. Many people on social media are expressing angst and hopelessness since this attack has come so closely on the hinges of the Colorado tragedy. There is evil in this world and it’s increasing. I have hope in Jesus Christ who is my savior and the Only Savior. I pray that through this terrible time there will be those in the Sikh community as well as those watching these news broadcasts who cry out to Christ for answers. Jesus Christ is the only way. No one will say that on MSM (Mainstream media) and it’s not politically correct, especially to those who are of another faith who are the victims, but they are also God’s children nonetheless. Christ died for them as well and it would do us good to minister to them and to witness to them. This is not condemnation it is hope. Because I am a Child of the Most High God I have hope and assurance that this world is not my home and that my time here is a vapor. I understand that my sins are forgiven by my Savior’s act of sacrificing himself for me, and the world. If you’re at a loss of words, if you’re heart is aching, if you are wondering why so many bad things are happening, I encourage you to seek out for yourself who Christ is and what He has done to give you hope and to give you eternal salvation.

Apostasy, Apocalypse, and A New Year

Apostasy.

So far this year the falling away seems to be in full swing and leaving no one “Left Behind.” Every denomination and Non-Denomination ‘Denomination’ has had its fair share of truly demonic forces at work. The sheep are highly desensitized, they are conditioned, groomed, primed for the rise of Anti-Christ. Pastors and leaders, authors and “Discernment” types have lead the sheep into a trap of not being able to recognize salt and light or a semblance of what true Biblical Doctrine is. This year has been a year of unheeded warnings and can only lead to further delusion. While you are ushered into your latest “Prophesy Conference” and asked to pass on secular produced DVD’s on the End Days but told to refrain from using Christian ‘buzz’ words I want you to merely stop and ask yourself if anything they are telling you is truly of the mind of Christ (scroll down to read section in Green highlight). Simply testing what the bible scholars, pastors, and “Discernment” ministries are force feeding you will be the first step in the recovery of the indwelling and use of the Holy Spirit in your life. If you are truly born again, called by the Lord, I think it is not too much for God to show you the truth. This site has many “news” type articles that have to do with the world, and there are exhortations and exposes, however all the while I beg and plead with you, the reader, to do your own research; to test the spirits, and to read the Word of God. Trust in the Lord your God.

Apocalypse.

2012 is not the End of the World. Why Pastor’s are not screaming this from the rooftops is beside me. Instead I’ve seen books coming out of “Christendom” that try to capitalize on the false prophesy of the Mayan Calendar. Bible scholar$, theologian$, researcher$, discernment speaker$, “Pastor$,” have been putting their names on books that try to morph Christian Bible Prophesy with Paganism. I expect no less from the secular world but seriously, Church, wake up! When you see a photo of a Mayan temple as the backdrop for your “Leader’s” latest sermon on 2012 or New Years or Prophesy you should turn around and run!

The Lord has answered what the signs will be at the end and of His return, no need to buy any other book.

A New Year.

The new year is upon us and many would love to put this past year behind us. There is something to said about reflecting on the year gone by, if not for any other reason than to remember lessons learned and not go forward in ignorance. I love Philippians 3:13-16, it’s a great set of verses to get a perspective on looking ahead, however it is sandwiched in between a great warning and a stern exhortation; for this reason I will put the entire chapter:

1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things again is no trouble to me, and it is a safeguard for you.

2 Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil workers, beware of the false circumcision; 3 for we are the true circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh, 4 although I myself might have confidence even in the flesh. If anyone else has a mind to put confidence in the flesh, I far more: 5 circumcised the eighth day, of the nation of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; as to the Law, a Pharisee; 6as to zeal, a persecutor of the church; as to the righteousness which is in the Law, found blameless.

7 But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ. 8 More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ, 9 and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith, 10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death; 11 in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.

12 Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. 13 Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. 15 Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that also to you; 16 however, let us keep living by that same standard to which we have attained.

17 Brethren, join in following my example, and observe those who walk according to the pattern you have in us. 18 For many walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even weeping, that they are enemies of the cross of Christ, 19 whose end is destruction, whose god is their appetite, and whose glory is in their shame, who set their minds on earthly things. 20For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; 21who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.
