While most of the Catholic world is waiting with abated breath for a new Pope to be chosen the Non-Denominational Ecumenical world still has their “Papa” (Pope); that is, Chuck Smith Sr of Calvary Chapel. Calvary Chapel spawned a blend of Charismatic Conservative type church movement after its stint as an Ecumenical playground for lost hippies during the 70′s. Chuck Smith Sr. dubbed as the founder of the hippie church, aka, “Jesus People Movement.” Although, Chuck was not the source of the growth it was rather his protegee, active homosexual, Lonnie Frisbee. Years later Calvary Chapel Movement cast off it’s more hyper-charismatic days in return for a yuppie style church that aimed to minister to it’s booming youth driven and modern centered style of worship. Chuck Smith Sr, a former Four-Square church pastor and child of a four-square pastor, found himself surrounded by young men who would continue to grow his movement. One notable young pastor was Greg Laurie. Greg was mentored by Lonnie Frisbee for a time and then later assumed a close relationship to another young up and coming soon-to-be mega pastor, Rick Warren. How do I know that Rick Warren has known Greg Laurie for decades? Rick Warren said so in an interview backstage of the Harvest Crusade in 2009.
What’s Wrong with Rick Warren he’s a philanthropist, a Pastor, a humanitarian!?
Rick Warren has notoriously misrepresented the bible, the actual scriptures. All this hoopla against Rick Warren started (as far as I personally remember) back in the early 2000′s with his book “The Purpose Driven Life.” When I was in CA attending a CC the women’s bible study group was going through the very book by Rick Warren. We never completed the study, which I was happy to end, because a certain man named Roger Oakland had warned “Papa” Chuck Smith about the many errors in the book and showed Rick Warren to be highly ecumenical in his theology. Oakland and others who make a living off of warning church goers against doctrinally unsound teachers all rallied with Oakland against Rick Warren, eventually “Papa” Chuck had no place to go but heed the warning and issue a Papal decree letter to all Calvary Chapel Pastors that the theology of Rick Warren was not biblical and his type of Christianity would not could not be endorsed at that time. This letter was issued in 2006 and was called, Parsons to Parsons, good like finding it. I didn’t need “Roger Oakland” to tell me that Rick Warren was off the mark scripturally. I could see Rick Warren’s misuse of scripture for myself when we (the ladies of the CC in CA) were doing that study. He misused scriptures, he took them out of context and distorted them to get his point across. It wasn’t until years later that I learned more about his “purpose” to redesign churches and move them away from teaching biblically sound doctrine to a quasi-motto-feel good don’t preach real doctrinal truths about God’s law and my sin, type of churches. [I've written extensively on Rick Warren and Chuck Smith use the search bar to the right.]
Today’s non Breaking News, the latest conglomeration of Smith and Warren has to do with this appearance on Pastor’s Perspective:
On a strange side note I found this post at Light House Trails: click image to enlarge
This post was not a “Statement” against the pairing, it was only a letter to the editor that was posted and then all of Roger Oakland’s posts related to his withdrawal from Calvary Chapel were listed with it. So officially it does not look like Light House Trails has said anything against Chuck Smith Sr for continuing to minister along side Rick Warren. They (LHT) are simply acknowledging that they know by showing this photo of the two. What do Roger Oakland’s posts have to do with Rick Warren and Chuck Smith continuing to work together? Roger Oakland never came out after the Embrace of 2009 and said, “Chuck Smith Senior, stop hanging out with Rick Warren!” or “Church, Look, Rick Warren The Compromised is imbedded into Calvary Chapel, get out now!” Roger Oakland never said anything of the sort in 2009, nor did any of his then compatriots of the Prophecy Speaking Circuit.
But N4TM, Didn’t Lighthouse Trails publish your post, “Woe,” on Chuck Smith and Rick Warren joining up in 2009?
Yes. Back in those days just after the Embrace of 2009 I waited patiently for all the famous “Men of God” who had warned me against Rick Warren to take to their bully pulpits and say something, anything, about Chuck Smith Sr. endorsing Rick Warren at the Harvest Crusade of 2009. No one spoke up, not one. I read nothing from Herescope, LHT, Hope for Today, Be Alert, UTT, etc. I waited for the respected “elders” of the group to say something and no one did. I was outraged at the silence so I spoke up. I had literally no one frequenting my blog at the time and it was only because I had a friend who knew the editors at LHT that my article got the small attention it did back then. It was quickly buried into the back of the closet, the article title changed, and more attention was given to a friend of Chuck’s who wrote a more politically correct “letter of concern” after my letter that was much more forward. It’s easy to erase history in the digital world of blogging.
*As a tip to readers who are truly trying to find the truth and have to muddle their way through various “Discernment” blogs always look for who the site endorses not just who they warn against and see if they are not compromised themselves. It is very possible to have ACME Discernment crew warning the church about Post-Modern, Emergent, New Age, Jewish Mysticism, and then by the same token they are endorsing their “authors” or “speakers” who go to churches who endorse the very doctrines they are supposedly warning you about. It’s a catch 22, no doubt and very confusing if you don’t know what/whom you are dealing with. As in the world, the compromised body of Christ also has a soft spot for Mammon. Mammon gets their speaker’s books and dvds sold, it gets them hits (visits to their sites), it gets them advertising, and not saying anything disparaging about the “leaders” who are estranged with the Apostate Church always buys them more time to sell more of their junk. It’s easy to figure out, it’s just horribly sad and discouraging. I know I’ve been there. In the end all of this is good news, because it draws our eyes to the Lord, the author and finisher of our faith. It reminds me (us) that there is only One Good Shepherd and that is Christ Jesus and no one man or two men can distract us from the truth of who God is when we put our faith, hope, and trust back on the one-the only one- who deserves it.
John 10:13-15 (KJV)
13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.
14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
Yesterday was the hearing for the confirmation of Chuck Hagel. I don’t know much about Hagel, but what I do know about this guy is he is a big R.I.N.O (Republican in name only). Just like John McCain, Chuck Hagel is very much ‘for’ Barack Hussein Obama’s presidency. Just like John Kerry (D), our new Secretary of State, Chuck Hagel is vehemently anti-war but that doesn’t stop him from war mongering. Hagel is a Vietnam vet (like McCain) who then became against it (like Kerry). Hagel was for Iraq (like McCain), then became against it (like Kerry). Hagel enjoys playing both sides of the isle like McCain and Kerry. Sources: Here. Here.
This is the last of the ‘old dogs’ who are trying to undermine America utilizing the shadow government. I believe the newer generation of politicians will just be more ‘out of the NWO closet’ so to speak when they eventually get their turn. Obama has set up for himself a group of men who all share his beliefs on Israel. Please don’t believe the lie that John McCain is a supporter of Israel. That’s like saying George W. Bush was a supporter of Israel, you have to look at what they actually do–like funding and arming the opposition forces of Israel. Yes, GWB, the same guy who gave heart felt warm and fuzzy speeches standing by Israel also sold arms to their enemies-look it up. In this regard Israel is going to have to go it alone.
Israel strikes Syrian military convoy outside of Damascus. There was a strike made in what is being called ‘rural Damascus’ by Israel. Source Here. Anytime Israel does anything it is condemned. In this case Israel says it hit a convoy moving arms and possibly chemical weapons that were headed for Hezbollah in Lebanon. Source Here.
The Syrian Government has been battling a civil war in which the US is funding and arming the rebels to oust elected leader and one time confidant of the US government Bashar Assad.
“The United States has provided more than $200 million in humanitarian aid and other funding to the Syrian opposition. On Tuesday, President Barack Obama approved another $155 million in aid.”Source Here.
[I know what you're thinking, where does Barack get so much money to donate to Syrian Rebels (aka AQ MB HZ etc)? Clearly it's easy to give away money that is not yours, you heard of Obamacare right?]
Of course the UN is crying foul over Israels actions. Russia and Iran are in on the uproar. Russia and Iran are Syrian Allies. Russia’s relationship with the US has been on the chill side and has seen better days. The people in Egypt, who were once allies of Israel until the Ofama administration undermined that government, are mighty upset at Ofama these days too, ergo the United States. It appears the new proxy puppet leader for the US, Morsi, is as tyrannical as Gaddafi and less popular. The people of Egypt have lost faith in the Muslim Brotherhood (ie Obama) and are voicing their angst. Why bring up Egypt here? How about North Africa and the former Horn of Africa which seems to be in total disarray? These countries are all named in a future prophetic war against Israel. It appears that the instigator of all these countries is the United States. #Justsaying. Do with my opinion what you will it is only merely an uneducated opinion. Couple the current administration’s policy with the new faces of the New Liberal Order (Obama, Kerry, Hagel) and we’re going to be in for a dozy. But this is just politics and geopolitics, the macrocosm of the “Christian” Nation of the United States. The US is certainly not loosing it’s own moral standing, is it?
Apostasy is the undermining of America not Islam, or Chrislam, or Guns, or even Homos.
“For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?” 1 Peter 4:17
The GOP has been pumping the Evangelical “church” with the sentiment that, “We are American, thus God will Bless America, infinitely.” This is false propaganda/prophesy. As often as Glenn Beck will have David Barton on his shows it will not change the fact that there is no Biblical reference to America in the Bible or in prophetic scriptures. I don’t care how many politicians say, “God Bless America,” God can’t negate His sovereign and divine Word. The “Church” in respects to the full compilation of all believers in Jesus Christ on the planet is not solely “America.” I found this picture of Jesus handing out American flags; I don’t know who did it but it speaks volumes to the pagan diety worship of America and that many in America (the Apostate Church) have traded a Savior for a symbol, an idea, a land, an inception-America. All the Conservative Religious Right could not have done better to epitomize the flat out worship of “America” then Obama did by using the lay woman’s prayer on Inauguration day, and all the neo-cons said, “Amen!”
The compromised Church is the whore, the Jezebel, the woman riding the beast. (This is just hyperbole here, not doctrinally supported I’m not a theologian ok, I’m merely a blogger.)
I read a tweet yesterday that lead me to a story released to all the “Christian” publications that there is a tide turning in the “Evangelical” church to “rethink” gays. What the article said in a nut shell is that “Pastors” are recognizing that young people largely support and endorse gay marriage and gays in general and these mega pastors ‘Men of the Cloth’ have noticed that if they continue spouting that homosexuality is a sin in need of repentance than conversely their numbers dial back and they lose member$hip. Now even the good ol boys of the “Baptist” creed are steering clear of mentioning homosexuality too much. The article reads like this is all good and is going to help ‘widen’ the road for greater acceptance of “Christ,” so long as the Church doesn’t offend the homos anymore. Source Here. Whhaaa?? So it wasn’t enough that we deduced Jesus to an American only Savior, now He’s going to ignore His own WORD and invite homosexuals into the fold without repentance, without conversion, and of course without bothering to accept Jesus Christ as the Son of God and the only propitiation for our sin. You see how decrepit morally the church in America is, do you think that the church in other countries is fairing any better? If we exclude location and consider simply where God’s body (the Church as a whole) stands we’d find it’s not standing at all, it’s in decay, it’s being judged. Opening up and allowing sin in any form into the church is exactly why young people see no reason for church-Duh! If they go to church seeking a way out from under their sin and find out that the pastor is post-modern in his thinking and preaching and doesn’t challenge the sin that keeps one in bonds to the devil than there is no hope in Jesus, there is no need of a savior if your sins are “ok” and not preached on, then why bother going to church? The mega pastors who get financed via political lobbyists will have to give an account. In the mean time if you’re out there lost in your sin drowning and searching for a way out, don’t look to a pastor or a church to save you, look to the Son of God Jesus Christ and read the word of God, seek Him and He will answer.
“…Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known. Accordingly, whatever you have said in the dark shall be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in the inner rooms shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.”Luke 12:1-3
The original Post of “Woe.” was on August 25, 2009. Edits and additional comments are explained at the end of the original post.
**Update: this post has been previously attached to a site that claims I am a CC ‘member.’
When I wrote this post I was attending a CC and had for years, this is no longer true as of June 2010.**
The Shift has Begun. The time for secrets and whispered alliances has become publicly known. The object of grievance for many who love Calvary Chapel and all that it once stood for has been affirmed. For all those who were called “Head Hunters, Heresy Sniffers, Contentious, and slanderers” they may now have some level of confirmation that their discernment wasn’t wrong; however, a true child of God who has the “gift” of discernment takes no pleasure in seeing what was once ‘the warning’ come to pass. Many people who are in the camp that believe Rick Warren is doing a work of God think that all of us are simply fanatic and fearful to ‘change.’ No. I accept Change. What I do not accept is heresy, lies, and false teachers. I will start in the order of the men that are in the picture above.
Greg Laurie.Greg is the Senior Pastor of Harvest Church in Riverside California. For those of you who don’t know the relationship of Greg Laurie and Rick Warren has stemmed over twenty years. According to Rick Warren himself, in a short clip taken backstage at the Harvest Crusade 2009, they have had a cyclical relationship with each others flock {see video below} . Greg Laurie has taught classes at Saddleback church and has done other projects in conjunction with Rick Warren. Greg’s relationship with Rick Warren has not been a secret in the Calvary Chapel circles. Many pastors have approached Greg Laurie over the years and attempted to rebuke him in love about his unequally yoked partnership to Rick Warren. Each time Greg asserted himself as someone who had been ‘sent to minister’ to Rick Warren. Over the same amount of years pastors have attempted to rebuke Rick Warren in love and to warn him about his own unequally yoked fellowship with those in the Emergent Church Movement and many other false gospels. Rick Warren too has justified himself and refused to repent of the heresies he has taught. I know that many people are going to be hurt by this news of Pastor Chuck Smith, Greg Laurie and Rick Warren appearing together on the same platform in “one accord.” For many who have called Calvary Chapel their home church the possibility of such once sound men of God (Laurie & Smith) appearing with an obvious wolf in sheep’s clothing (Warren) seems absolutely inconceivable. However, the truth of the matter is that is exactly what has happened. I have done many posts on this blog and my other blog related to the Heresy and Leaven that Rick Warren has introduced into the Evangelical, Christian, movement. This post is not so much to warn you of Rick Warren as it is to warn you about the dangers occurring inside Calvary Chapel. Rick Warren’s leaven has infiltrated Harvest church for years, it has filtered into smaller Calvary Chapels, and with the stamp of approval that Chuck Smith has now given it, the Leaven and Heresy that is Rick Warren’s Purpose Driven Life has come to roost in Harvest and Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa.
Chuck Smith.Chuck is the Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa and known as one of the key persons of influence of the Jesus People Movement. Honesty I know very little about the ‘Jesus people movement.’ I have attended Calvary Chapel the length of my entire walk with Jesus Christ and never once cared to look into when or why this ‘movement’ started. When I had entered in to this ‘fold’ I had felt I was getting clear biblical teaching of God’s word. And I was. The Calvary Chapel of the past has changed dramatically. What Pastor Chuck started all those years ago has become an extended family that has grown up generations of Christ loving, God fearing people. Today however, with the acceptance of one of the most dangerous false teachers, Rick Warren, Calvary Chapel has much to lose and little to gain from yoking itself with Purpose Driven heresy. As I stated before, Rick’s relationship with Greg has not been kept in isolation, many people have known of this, however the fear that the ‘leadership’ from the top…ie, Pastor Chuck Smith, to accept Rick Warren’s heresy and to condone it has tipped the scale. Many people in the Emergent Church movement have been waiting for the day that Chuck would ‘accept’ Emergent and Purpose Driven as a movement that not even Chuck could deny it’s power to move people. However, simply because people are moved emotionally and spiritually deceived into a spiritual ‘experience’ does not make that a move of God. In 2006 Chuck Smith himself released a positional paper that denounced the Emergent Church, however today he is by his actions denouncing the very stand he took only some three years ago. Today the rebuke doesn’t seem to come, however I trust the Lord is working out His perfect will even as it appears that evil is prospering. It must be said that today Chuck is only expressing publicly what he has held as true privately for a long time. I can say that because many sheep have been stumbled by his actions to shield and protect Greg Laurie and Greg’s relationship with Rick Warren. There have been events that have caused people to stumble that have been hosted by CCCM, and other “Calvary Chapel Pastors” over the years. It has been years. This didn’t happen over night. Senior Pastors from the biggest to the smallest Calvary Chapel on the Directory KNOW what has been going on. They have had overt warnings, they’ve had whispered concerns expressed by critically hurt sheep and have denied to address the problem of the leaven that is Rick Warren and his blasphemous counterfeit gospel.
My Appeal to Pastor Chuck Smith, with all due respect to what you’ve done in the past, what you are doing now and what’s been happening for some time is stumbling and scattering the flock that God entrusted to you and countless other Calvary Chapel Pastors.
8. The great confusion that exists in the divergent positions of the Emergent Church results from their challenging the final authority of the Scriptures. When you no longer have a final authority, then everyone’s ideas become as valid as the next person’s, and it cannot help but end in total confusion and contradictions.
There are those who say that Emergent movement has some good points, but so does a porcupine. You are better off if you don’t get too close!-Chuck Smith, 2006
Rick Warren. I’ve said enough.

In this seminar, we take up the biblical basis for the unity of Word and Table in worship that emerged in the early church. We introduce four important texts
for understanding ancient future worship.
We look at three, practical legacies of ancient worship:
• the reading of Scripture,
• the Eucharistic prayer,
• the chanting of the psalms
You must understand who the speakers are at these events (Research Leonard Sweet), what they believe, and teach to understand the implications. There are people who become stumbled because they believe some on the ticket to be ‘men of God.’ Some of these ‘men of God’ have taught on other types of heresy, or false doctrine, yet still are unequally yoked and keeping company with darkness.
The Answer to the Question. You may be asking yourself right about now, “What does this all mean?” What am ‘I’ implying by voicing all the things that have been said in this post? Am ‘I’ calling Greg Laurie and Chuck Smith, heretics, false teachers, false prophets…? God’s word answers that for you.
2 Peter 2
1But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves.
2Many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned;
3and in their greed they will exploit you with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.
1 Peter 5
The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;
3 Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being examples to the flock.
Matthew 18
7 Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!
8 Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.
9 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.
10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.
11 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.
1 Timothy 4
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.
Test all things. Test the Spirit. Test what is being preached and taught in your church against the WORD of God. I recently commented to a friend if people tested all ‘Pastors, Speakers, Authors, etc’ against the true Word of God then there wouldn’t be a need for ‘Discernment Ministries.’ There has been volumes of warnings out on Rick Warren, Purpose Driven Life, Emergent/Emerging Church, Dominionist Theology, Mysticism, Ancient Future Worship, etc. The hour is late and there is little time to go through all that is now masquerading itself as ‘light’ in this world…but by all means try to do your own homework. Do not take anything of what I’ve said in this post or any other for that matter without holding it up to see if it’s true.
2 Corinthians 6
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
One last answer to the broken-hearted out there who is grieving and mourning for the truth in matters….
All this has shown me is that there is no one righteous, no not one, especially myself! I make no claims to be more holy than the next person. I know that nothing good dwells in me and that I am a chief sinner. One thing I do know is that God is doing a continuing sanctification and by the Blood of the Lamb alone am I saved! Rejoice brother and sister in the Lord, for the time is near and the times are proving themselves to be the last days that our Lord Jesus Christ has spoken of. I know there is a remnant out there. I know there are people who love Jesus Christ Messiah and seek to do His will. Let us focus our eyes on the Lord Jesus Christ, SON of the Living God! Our faith is bound up in Jesus Christ and none other!
Ezekiel 33
6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.
**Update** 4-27- 2010
Finally a ministry with tons of connections comes out with a warning on what I’ve already expressed in this article and many countless others have been trying to express for years now~ better late than never:
Calvary Chapel Alert: Calvary Chapel Albuquerque (Skip Heitzig) Hosting New Age Mystic Leonard Sweet
(but let’s be clear this isn’t the first year he’s invited Leonard Sweet! AND it’s not that Chuck Smith doesn’t know about it or other CC Pastors…)
Post Primary Commentary: Below are my thoughts now in 2012, three years after the infamous embrace at Harvest August, 17th 2009.
The site above with a line through was Moriel, they disabled that link so it’s useless to have it up; and they never warned about Rick Warren’s connections to Greg Laurie or his visit in 2009 and embrace with Chuck Smith Sr.Further above in this post was a group of links to articles outside of my own blog posts who have written about Rick Warren; those sites I disabled the links to because I DO NOT support, endorse, or agree with those sites any longer. It has come to my attention over the years that those who placate and remain silent on truly exposing those within Calvary Chapel, who’ve enjoyed decades long employment and ministerial support, are just as guilty as perpetuating the lie within Calvary as the ones they claim to “expose;” namely Rick Warren.
Since this post in 2009 not one major discernment site reported on this union (Warren/Smith/Laurie). In fact since the Harvest 2009 20th Anniversary there has been much more leaven within Calvary Chapel and since then the failure of the major Discernment Sites and “Discernment Ministries” to expose the true and very real deception inside of Calvary Chapel has become over abundantly clear and pervasive. Those who expose Calvary Chapel and their fake discernment ministries that keep them afloat giving the appearance of a discerning church are the ones who are laboring and getting attacked from the CC machine. There is a vast and broad network within the Calvary Chapel “Movement” that crosses denominational divides. The Baptist Churches are involved too and I would venture to say that many of the “Emergent Churches” who have been declared the Devil incarnate by the organized controlled Discernment Ministries were really birthed out of the CC movement and the early hippies who saw CC moving toward Yuppeidom rather than staying “true” to their “emerging” styles in the early 70′s. This article “Woe” cost me nothing to post; I was an unknown blogger who had to send out mass emails to my friends and family to get readers. Now I don’t bother anyone with when I post a new article; however, I do have some more readers today than I did in 2009, but I am still very much an unknown. I do not have “secret” information; I do not know the upper echelons of Calvary Chapel. I do not work with anyone within Calvary Chapel or their subsidiaries. I am one person, with a heart for the body of Christ and I pray that those who are entrapped by the snare of the false teachings of CC and their organized discernment ministries will make their way out.
John 10: 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
I think I’ll let the video speak for itself for now.
Below is some info on whom it was Lonnie Frisbee met in South Africa.
The man pictured in the seat at the beginning of the video is Dr. Derek Morphew.
So if you didn’t know who Derek Morphew is, he is the founding pastor of the Vineyard Christian Fellowship in Kenilworth, Cape Town, South Africa. He has been a pastor since 1973 and has often been involved in church planting. Derek serves on the national leadership team of the Association of Vineyard Churches in South Africa and is the international director of Vineyard Bible Institute, having obtained a BA in Theology from Rhodes University and a Ph.D. in the field of New Testament Studies from the University of Cape Town. He has written two published works, South Africa; the Powers Behind and Breakthrough; Discovering the Kingdom along with one E Publication, The Spiritual Spider Web, a Study of Ancient and Contemporary Gnosticism and various in house publications for Vineyard Bible Institute. Source here (not an endorsement)
More on Derek Morphew:
Morphew said that the rediscovery of Jesus and his Kingdom message enabled us to see the whole biblical story of covenant and grace in a new way, through Kingdom eyes. The course, which was attended by delegates from a number of different churches, was hosted at Fountain Vineyard Christian Fellowship. Morphew has been a pastor since 1973 and is the founding pastor of the Vineyard Christian Fellowship in Kenilworth, Cape Town. He has served in the Vineyard movement for many years, and currently serves on the national leadership team of the Association of Vineyard Churches in South Africa. He is the international director of the Vineyard Biblical Institute, for which he has written various in-house publications (see http://www.vineyardbibleinstitute.org/ and http://vbivc.org/) and is also the head of Vineyard International Publishing.
Having obtained a BA in Theology from Rhodes University and a Ph.D. in New Testament Studies from the University of Cape Town, Derek has a great passion and enthusiasm for teaching God’s Word, with an especially keen interest in Kingdom Theology. He has a real gifting, and through this he is able to teach on this topic with immense insight and truth. Morphew has written numerous books, which include: Breakthrough: Discovering the Kingdom; Biblical Interpretation 101: Historic Rules for Reading the Bible; Different but Equal: Going Beyond the Complementarian/Egalitarian Debate; Five Frontiers to Freedom (with Jeffery Morphew); South Africa: The Powers Behind; Principalities and Ideologies in South Africa Today and The Kingdom of God. He has also written a “Kingdom Theology Series” of books, which includes: The Implications of the Kingdom (with Kim Hough); The Phenomena of the Kingdom; The Mission of the Kingdom; The Prophet’s Voice: Hebrews – Prophecy, Rhetoric, Interpretation; The Spiritual Spider Web: A Study in Ancient and Contemporary Gnosticism; and Law and Grace: Conscience and License. Vineyard/Calvary Chapel connection
For those who know that Lonnie Frisbee’s presence in Calvary Chapel History has been all but erased, it appears that Vineyard has done just as much to cover Frisbee tracks as well. At this site http://www.vineyard.org.za/?p=18 There is no mention of Lonnie Frisbee at all. Individual accounts are that Frisbee’s role was great, but it’s not on their main website. Remember, John Wimber came out of Calvary Chapel and went with Chuck Smith’s blessing to Yorba Linda, CA to start para-church sites.
I also listened to the full “testimony” that Lonnie Frisbee gave at Vineyard. I’ve not heard the whole entire “sermon” if you could even call it that until today. It was highly informational since Lonnie voluntarily offers up information on his early days at Calvary Chapel and how he was treated. The whole entire message sounded like he was having a good laugh at the fact that he was faking his “gifting” most of the time. Frisbee gives an account for his theology that allows some hits and some misses when being a prophet or a healer are so obviously unscriptural, however the audience laughs right along with him.
Back to the video posted
Originally I had not added commentary to the video I posted of Lonnie Frisbee. I did that intentionally to get ‘you’ the reader to listen for yourself and discern for yourself. Then I added a few pieces of who Derek Morphew is because I don’t know anything about him and he’s at the beginning of the video introducing that Lonnie Frisbee came out to South Africa to speak at his church. Derek is the founder of Vineyard in South Africa. Derek in the video states that there was a “counter part” movement to the Jesus People Movement in South Africa. He also states that “Lonnie” wanted to come out and see it. However when Lonnie speaks in the same video he challenges Chuck Smith when Chuck Smith suggests Africa, “why, do you wanna get rid of me?” There were some other key points Lonnie referenced one of them being when he took time as a Pastor for Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa to go to Riverside at All Saints Episcopal church to minister. Chuck Smith sent him to an Episcopal church? Chuck Smith came out of a Foursquare church, of which it is said he ministered for 14 years (approximate). Below is an account by a man who describes meeting Lonnie the day Lonnie brought Greg Laurie to Christ.
It was during one of these lunch fellowships that Lonnie Frisbee singled out Greg. Greg came into the center of the circle and fell under the power of the Holy Spirit and came up born again. Funny thing, today someone has planted a tree right where Greg got saved, with some other trees in a big circle around it, as if to memorialize the event. (Note: The school has since been renovated and re-landscaped so those trees are long gone. (…) Greg built his entire ministry upon the ministry foundation of Lonnie Frisbee. Most historians only attribute two great moves of God to Lonnie Frisbee, I attribute Harvest Christian Fellowship and Harvest Crusades directly to Lonnie’s foundational work at All Saints Episcopal. Of course Greg put in all of the sweat equity.
All Saints Episcopal in Riverside California had invited Lonnie to hold services there for awhile. Which resulted in several hundred new believers. Greg stepped in and built upon this foundation of new believers. With the help of Chuck Smith, Greg was able to build a strong church on this foundation. That small group became Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California USA, one of the eight largest churches in America, as well as the third largest in California. Here’s another account from Lonnie himself. I copied this mp3. I found the mp3 on this site http://lonnierayfrisbee.com/# (not an endorsement). From this blog it appears that this is an attempt by Lonnie himself to give his own biography. The author did not continue posting. There are several videos, some I’ve seen before. This is not where I found the video above of Lonnie Frisbee in South Africa, although it is on this blog as well. I will be posting the link to his full testimony that I listened to that in my opinion is Lonnie making jest of his fakery at being a “pastor” and having a “healing ministry.”
Here is the testimony given by Lonnie himself at John Wimber’s church. This is an audio that is dubbed over scrolling pictures. The pictures are interrupted on occasion by a text that says, “Snow boarding.” I thought it was unusual but it’s not my video. There is a part 2 which is another 15 minutes or so. I listened to most of that video but cut it off before the end when Lonnie supposedly calls down the spirit and the people in the audience are ‘slain,’ just my own precautionary measure it doesn’t mean you should cut it off.
Listen with Discernment. Pay attention.
Lonnie Frisbee has been documented pretty extensively for someone who has been blotted out of the Calvary Chapel history books. Greg Laurie does not recoil when talking about Lonnie Frisbee’s role in his salvation and younger days of discipleship. Greg Laurie readily admits that Frisbee was “great.” Chuck Smith Jr. also regards him highly. Lonnie had odd connections throughout his evangelizing days. In today’s terms we might say he was “post modern” “emergent” “ecumenical” and globally “missional.” He states in the testimony that he was reading Edgar Casey when he was making his own “anointing oil” so he added “witch hazel.” Casey was a devout member of Church of Christ (a cult) and is credited with the foundations of the New Age Movement. Source here Edgar Casey. Just from listening to Lonnie’s testimony I can deduce that he had ‘another spirit’ that does not align with the sound doctrine. Frisbee was exploited by Smith, Laurie, Wimber, Morphew, just to name a few. Frisbee, in the midst of his delusions and fakery, realized that Mega Church planting was held above scripture and the Holy Spirit. There is no doubt he was confused and in the grips of his own sin, but when he began to understand that the ‘John Birchers’ were in control they dispersed him to spread his “anointing” elsewhere. Frisbee’s charismata and fakery was his success and his downfall. I think it’s important to know the beginning of CC, the whole truth, so that you know what spirit is leading them. Chuck Smith was wrong for using him and abusing him and exploiting Frisbee then blacklisting him, just as much as Frisbee was wrong for impersonating a work of God. Chuck Smith wasn’t trying to protect his flock ‘from’ Frisbee’s sensational signs and wonders behavior, that is exactly what Smith utilized concerning Frisbee. What Chuck Smith was attempting to do was distract Frisbee and continue his mission of growing his church. Why they do not warn about certain people is not because they disagree with that particular false teacher who remains protected, it’s because of their connection to their own past they want to keep covered up. Did you know that Frisbee was instrumental to John Rutkay and Marc Dupont who prophesied the Toronto outpouring? Did you know that Paul Cain, a word of faith charismatic former pastor who was removed from the pastorate for being in a homosexual relationship and an alcoholic stated that Chuck Smith was his campaign manager and “more pentecostal” than he was? Why do people avoid talking to Paul Cain about Chuck Smith’s early days? Did you know Paul Cain works with Rick Joyner, a Jesuit? Everyone knows General Gerry Boykin is a Jesuit who co-labors with Rick Joyner and Gen. Boykin is a repeated speaker at Calvary Chapel Events. Why They Do Not Warn is because they don’t want you to know how connected some people are to CC.
According to Paul Cain in the short video, Chuck Smith worked at “Huntington Beach Foursquare Church.”
“September 20, 2001
Last week we began looking at the colorful history of the Foursquare movement in Huntington Beach and the unique design of its church at 715 Lake St. We left off with the Korean War beginning in the early 1950s and with Rev. Pete Nyenhuis leading his congregation in the early days of the war. In 1951 Rev. Inman became pastor and during his three years he undertook having the church property fenced. Inman, and his wife and two children remained until 1953. Rev. R.J. Kelly replaced Inman, but left the church after a short time because of his wife’s ill health. Kelly was replaced with the first Rev. Smith — Rev. R.J. Smith. He stayed there from 1953 to 1954 with his wife and their two children- Donna and Jerry. Smith was left and was replaced with the second Rev. Smith Pastor Charles “Chuck” Smith became pastor here in 1954 with his wife Catheryn. The little church was now known as the Lake Avenue Community Foursquare Church and during Smith’s pastorate, a church organ was purchased. Smith left in 1960 to form his own Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa and was replaced with Rev. Gary Robinson.”http://articles.hbindependent.com/2001-09-20/news/export8875_1_new-pastor-hope-chapel-ministry-experience
Inigo Lopez de Loyola, who later took the name Ignatius, was the youngest son of a nobleman of the mountainous Basque region of northern Spain. Trained in the courtly manner of the time of King Ferdinand, he dreamed of the glories of knighthood and wore his sword and breastplate with a proud arrogance.
When Ignatius was born in 1491, the Middle Ages were just ending and Europe was entering into the Renaissance. So Ignatius was a man on the edge of two worlds.
Europe of the late 15th Century was a world of discovery and invention. European explorers sailed west to the Americas and south to Africa, and scholars uncovered the buried civilizations of Greece and Rome. The printing press fed a new hunger for knowledge among a growing middle class. It was the end of chivalry and the rise of a new humanism. It was a time of radical change, social upheaval, and war.
In a quixotic attempt in 1521 to defend the Spanish border fortress of Pamplona against the French artillery, Inigo’s right leg was shattered by a cannon ball. His French captors, impressed by the Inigo’s courage, carried him on a litter across Spain to his family home at Loyola where he began a long period of convalescence.
During that time, he read several religious books, the only reading material readily available. These books and the isolation of the recovery period brought about a conversion which led to the founding of the Jesuits. Ignatius began to pray. He fasted, did penance and works of charity, dedicated himself to God and, after some troubles with the Spanish Inquisition, decided to study for the priesthood.
As a student in Paris he drew a small band of friends to himself and directed them in extended prayer and meditation according to his Spiritual Exercises. After further studies, the first Jesuits were ordained to the Catholic priesthood in Venice and offered themselves in service to Pope Paul III. In 1540, Paul III approved the Institute of the Society of Jesus. Ignatius was elected General Superior and served in that post until his death in 1556 at the age of 65. SOURCE: Jesuit.Org/Ourhistory
“I know and understand well that this is a particularly sensitive and demanding point for you and not a few of your confreres, especially those engaged in theological research, interreligious dialogue and dialogue with contemporary culture. Precisely for this reason I have invited you. and am inviting you today, to further reflect so as to find again the fullest sense of your characteristic “fourth vow” of obedience to the Successor of Peter, which not only implies readiness to being sent in mission to far away lands, but also — in the most genuine Ignatian sense of “feeling with the Church and in the Church — to “love and serve” the Vicar of Christ on earth with that “effective and affective” devotion that must make of you his precious and irreplaceable collaborators in his service of the universal Church.” Excerpt from Papal Statement to the Society of Jesus SOURCE: Jesuit.Org/PopespeakstotheCongregation
What is the Fourth Vow/Oath?
When a Jesuit priest is elevated to a position of high command, he is administered what is called the Jesuit Extreme Oath of Induction. This oath has been called the Fourth Vow or the Blood Oath, given to those in the Society of Jesus besides the traditional vows of poverty, chastity and obedience.
The existence of the Blood Oath has always been categorically denied by the Jesuits. And when this question was recently put to priests, brothers or lay spokesmen in five out of the 10 Jesuit Provincials in the United States, the existence of it was firmly denied, many saying they never heard anything about it.
Before the Blood Oath is administered, Paisley painted a dark picture of the private chapel were the ceremony takes place, as recounted in Didier’s book and Fr. Rivera’s recollections:
“When a Jesuit of the minor rank is to be elevated to command,” said Paisley, “he is conducted into the Chapel of the Convent of the Order, where there are only three others present, the principal or Superior standing in front of the altar. On either side stands a monk, one of whom holds a banner of yellow and white, which are the Papal colors, and the other a black banner with a dagger and red cross above a skull and crossbones, with the word INRI, and below them the words IUSTUM NECAR REGES IMPIUS. The meaning of which is: It is just to exterminate or annihilate impious or heretical Kings, Governments, or Rulers.
“Upon the floor is a red cross at which the postulant or candidate kneels. The Superior hands him a small black crucifix, which he takes in his left hand and presses to his heart, and the Superior at the same time presents to him a dagger, which he grasps by the blade and holds the point against his heart, the Superior still holding it by the hilt, and thus addresses the postulant.”
At this point, the Jesuit General-Superior Speaks and the Blood Oath is administered. The following is a copy of the text of the Oath as it appeared in the 1913 Congressional Record: (Note: If anyone has any doubts that Jesuits aren’t trained to be the ultimate deceivers and chameleons, the following words should erase all doubts.)
(The Superior speaks:)
My son, heretofore you have been taught to act the dissembler: among Roman Catholics to be a Roman Catholic, and to be a spy even among your own brethren; to believe no man, to trust no man. Among the Reformers, to be a Reformer; among the Huguenots, to be a Huguenot; among the Calvinists, to be a Calvinist; among other Protestants, generally to be a Protestant; and obtaining their confidence, to seek even to preach from their pulpits, and to denounce with all the vehemence in your nature our Holy Religion and the Pope; and even to descend so low as to become a Jew among Jews, that you might be enabled to gather together all information for the benefit of your Order as a faithful soldier of the Pope. You have been taught to plant insidiously the seeds of jealousy and hatred between communities, provinces, states that were at peace, and to incite them to deeds of blood, involving them in war with each other, and to create revolutions and civil wars in countries that were independent and prosperous, cultivating the arts and the sciences and enjoying the blessings of peace; to take sides with the combatants and to act secretly with your brother Jesuit, who might be engaged on the other side, but openly opposed to that with which you might be connected, only that the Church might be the gainer in the end, in the conditions fixed in the treaties for peace and that the end justifies the means. You have been taught your duty as a spy, to gather all statistics, facts and information in your power from every source; to ingratiate yourself into the confidence of the family circle of Protestants and heretics of every class and character, as well as that of the merchant, the banker, the lawyer, among the schools and universities, in parliaments and legislatures, and the judiciaries and councils of state, and to be all things to all men,for the Pope’s sake, whose servants we are unto death. You have received all your instructions heretofore as a novice, a neophyte, and have served as co-adjurer, confessor and priest, but you have not yet been invested with all that is necessary to command in the Army of Loyola in the service of the Pope. You must serve the proper time as the instrument and executioner as directed by your superiors; for none can command here who has not consecrated his labours with the blood of the heretic; for “without the shedding of blood no man can be saved”. Therefore, to fit yourself for your work and make your own salvation sure, you will, in addition to your former oath of obedience to your order and allegiance to the Pope, repeat after me:
(Text of the Oath:)
I_______________ , now in the presence of Almighty God, the blessed Virgin Mary, the blessed St. John the Baptist, the Holy Apostles, St. Peter and St. Paul, and all the saints, sacred host of Heaven, and to you, my Ghostly Father, the superior general of the Society of Jesus, founded by St. Ignatius Loyola, in the pontification of Paul the Third, and continued to the present, do by the womb of the Virgin, the matrix of God, and the rod of Jesus Christ, declare and swear that His Holiness, the Pope, is Christ’s Vice-Regent and is the true and only head of the Catholic or Universal Church throughout the earth; and that by the virtue of the keys of binding and loosing given to His Holiness by my Saviour, Jesus Christ, he hath power to depose heretical Kings, Princes, States, Commonwealths, and Governments, and they may be safely destroyed. You Want the Presence of Jesuits
General William ‘G’ Boykin, also referred to as “Jerry” Boykin has enjoyed liberty in attending all sorts of various Denominations to speak, as well as some infamous Non-Denominational Churches. He’s an excellent candidate for a Jesuit really. He’s served in all manner of capacity in the US Central Intelligence, DOD, CIA, Delta Force. His ability to be a covert operational leader is paramount. I recently came across this video of the “General” and Glenn Beck. There are key words to listen for, try to identify them.
Key Word (1) “Red Teaming, as we call it.” per General Boykin
Key Word (2) “I’ve talked to Red Cell Teams before” per Glenn Beck
Key Word (3) “That’s what I kinda do for a living, war game things out..see how can you play things out”
Key Word (4) “Our total/our whole government is infiltrated” “by entities that are part of this problem” (he says it’s Islamic, but is he telling us something else?)
Key Word (5) “WE have” for a retired general he sure sounds like he’s active.
Key Word (6) Beck says, “there are good people in Congress but they keep getting sliced up by “OUR OWN PEOPLE” and he looks at Boykin, then catches his slip.
Key Word (7) Boykin quotes Sun Tsu “Know yourself Know your enemy and you need not fear a thousand battles”
Key Word (8) Beck says to that quote, “I don’t think WE even know Ourselves, we don’t even know ourselves.”
(Switches to Border talk–)
I think Glenn Beck and General Boykin were having their own coded discussion right in front of everyone. But hey, what do I know?
Jesuits Are Good, Christians are Evil
Jesuits are feeding the hungry, healing the sick, clothing the poor, and fighting for the protection of all faiths. Aren’t they benevolent? They are wanted and need by the lay clergy. They are higher in rank and education. They are our Governmental Leaders, Educators, Priests and Pastors, and they only want “good” for us. Yet, we Christians who refuse to dilute our doctrine of the Gospel of Christ and not embrace the ecumenical wide gate, are hindering progress. We are stuck in our narrow minds with things like “Doctrine” and standing on the Rock of Salvation ONLY. Are we saying that all the “good” that Jesuits do is Evil? Are we condemning them because they only seek to do the great commission (save the true gospel of salvation in Christ alone)?
Why then are Jesuits so Evil? Do Works Save? How is the Jesuit Cult different than any other Works based Cult? Social Justice? Kingdom Now? Latter Day Saints? Seventh Day Adventists? Emergent/Post Modern? Evangelical? Not only is the Cult of the Jesuits founded on a False Spirit it’s goal is to dilute, disseminate, diss-inform, and propagate all heathens back to Rome. Is it working?
*(Please note that there is a deliberate use of sarcasm and antithesis to get you thinking. I in no way condone Jesuitism or the subsequent false church. I do not support the ideology behind any of the videos represented in this post, they were used to convey a point.)
OCTOBER 23rd 2011 Vacatican Calls for "World Central Bank"
In my last post concerning #OWS (Of Sheep and Goats #OWS) I stated that the ‘Right’ was involved in this chaos as well. The Religious Right (Pope/Vatican) and the Religious Left are joining in chorus to Unify and Centralize our Economic future.
“Faith without a commitment to justice for the poor is a sham.”
Tony Campolo, Ph. D. – sociologist, Christian leader and media commentator
The inspiration behind it
It was US pastor and writer Rick Warren who laid the
foundations for The Poverty and Justice Bible.
He’d discovered that there were 2,000 verses on poverty – and couldn’t believe he’d never noticed before.
Bono’s view
U2 frontman Bono, in his talk to the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington DC in November 2006, pointed out that the only
time Christ is judgmental is on the subject of the poor.
He also referred to the 2,000+ mentions of poverty in the Bible, saying ‚’that’s a lot of airtime!’
How the work was done
It took a team of Bible Society researchers poring over the CEV to identify every verse that’s specific about God’s take on social injustice.
These range from Old Testament prophecies to Jesus’ radical teachings. Just about every page has some emphasis on justice and fairness.
It’s on the global agenda for politicians, activists and opinion formers. But fighting poverty and tackling injustice is no new concept for the 21st century.
This Bible is proof that, on issues of social justice, God has plenty to say.
From the Religious Left, as noted in my previous post, Jim Wallis also believes the matter of Economic Equality is of Moral importance.
There is good news in all of this. Apparently when I asked the question whether or not the polarized sides would be able to ‘Coexist’ is an affirmative. With the actualization that both sides of the isle (politically and religiously) agree that society at large (Globally) needs to be centralized then we can safely assume that all is moving toward the collective and that God’s word is being confirmed! If you had any question to whether or not the prophetic clock had hit snooze, let me forewarn you this is not the case; You’re Late for Work, time to get up and get moving!
The Vatican called on Monday for the establishment of a “global public authority” and a “central world bank” to rule over financial institutions that have become outdated and often ineffective in dealing fairly with crises. The document from the Vatican’s Justice and Peace department should please the “Occupy Wall Street” demonstrators and similar movements around the world who have protested against the economic downturn.
“Towards Reforming the International Financial and Monetary Systems in the Context of a Global Public Authority,” was at times very specific, calling, for example, for taxation measures on financial transactions. “The economic and financial crisis which the world is going through calls everyone, individuals and peoples, to examine in depth the principles and the cultural and moral values at the basis of social coexistence,” it said.
It condemned what it called “the idolatry of the market” as well as a “neo-liberal thinking” that it said looked exclusively at technical solutions to economic problems. “In fact, the crisis has revealed behaviors like selfishness, collective greed and hoarding of goods on a great scale,” it said, adding that world economics needed an “ethic of solidarity” among rich and poor nations.
“If no solutions are found to the various forms of injustice, the negative effects that will follow on the social, political and economic level will be destined to create a climate of growing hostility and even violence, and ultimately undermine the very foundations of democratic institutions, even the ones considered most solid,” it said.
It called for the establishment of “a supranational authority” with worldwide scope and “universal jurisdiction” to guide economic policies and decisions.
Asked at a news conference if the document could become a manifesto for the movement of the “indignant ones”, who have criticized global economic policies, Cardinal Peter Turkson, head of the Vatican’s Justice and Peace department, said: “The people on Wall Street need to sit down and go through a process of discernment and see whether their role managing the finances of the world is actually serving the interests of humanity and the common good. “We are calling for all these bodies and organizations to sit down and do a little bit of re-thinking.”
(2009)FYI- Today is not the First time El Popé has called on a “New Financial World Order.”
Chuck Fromm and his “Home Bible Study” has been in the news lately. Most people only hear the story in regards to a ‘poor helpless innocent group of “Christians” meeting in a humble abode being Attacked by evil government; however if you believe that side of the story perhaps you don’t know the whole story.
“Maranatha! Music began as a non-profit outreach of Calvary Chapel in 1971. The Jesus People of the late 1960s and early 1970s began to write new hymns and worship songs with a folk-rock style. Maranatha! Music was founded at this time in order to publish and promote this new type of Christian music. Founder Chuck Smith sold the label to his nephew Chuck Fromm. The label is currently distributed by Warner Music Entertainment’s Word Music.”Source Wikipedia *annotated 04/2013

It’s hard to imagine men with such great resources and ability can’t seem to find a properly zoned place to hold their contemplative gathering. Perhaps Organizing National Worship Leader Conferences in various states around the US is easier than leasing a small store front for a new fledgling para-church. The fact is, this story is not what it seems and there is a back story not being reported; precisely who these people are. Did you know Brad Dacus, the President of Pacific Justice Institute is a FREQUENT Calvary Chapel speaker? Pacific Justice Institute is the one who released this story…

Washington D.C., Jul 30, 2010 / 02:45 am (CNA).- Attorneys representing the Catholic League and Ignatius Press have filed an amicus brief in a lawsuit alleging that the California public university system has refused credit for classes that are taught from a religious perspective. The university has defended its standards’ neutrality, contending that the refused courses were sub par.
The brief, filed by the California-based Pacific Justice Institute (PJI), alleges government censorship of faith-based high school curricula and discrimination against religious students. The university system’s policy would in effect prevent private Catholic and other religious high schools from teaching courses according to their religious traditions, PJI attorneys claim.
In August 2005 the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), the Calvary Chapel Christian School in Murrieta, California, and six Calvary Chapel students filed a lawsuit against the University of California. The students challenged the university’s refusal of credit for several of their classes, a refusal which required them to take remedial classes.
The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals sided with the university in the case, which is named ACSI v. Stearns.
“The ACSI decision represents yet another appalling case where the Ninth Circuit has approved blatant government discrimination against religious students,” charged Brad Dacus, PJI president. “We are hopeful that the Supreme Court will accept review of this case in order to restore the basic rights of Christian, Catholic, and Jewish high schools to teach their religious values without hindrance,” (click on Headline hypertext for full story)
The term “Conservative Christian” is a misnomer. This implies that there are or can be “Liberal Christians” and that those who are “Conservative” are the closer to God’s law and righteousness. The problem with this term is that it implies a false sense of security for the Christian. Someone who loves Christ and wants to abide in Christ in their private life but in the public arena as well can easily be sucked into this lie. It’s similar to the original lie, “Surely you shall not die.” Genesis 3:4 The Christian is lured into thinking that supporting Conservative Christian policies and civil servants is the way to honor God. It would be ideal if it wasn’t completely infiltrated and used as a cover to do the most horrendous things in the name of God. When Scripture directs us to “test the spirits” it includes those and is especially speaking to those who come in the name of Christ. Most Christians even the youngest of believers can distinguish an obvious liar or an overt display of evil when it’s evident on the outward appearance. Don’t forget dear Christian that Satan can quote Scripture and that is why even Jesus Christ our Savior rebuked him for quoting God’s word out of context. If Satan dare tempt Christ with quoting scripture why would you be spared such a deception?
Many, especially those who are called, are finding out that the Right is not quite, not quite right. Evil and sinister plots are afoot and the path crosses political party lines. The old adage that suggests we not discuss Politics or Religion at the dinner table will not apply in this post. It is exactly the time to discuss both and their consequential role of influence on one another that I write to you today. Just as Cancer does not discriminate against whom it inflicts, so is the plague that is upon the Church today.
Religion of Politics
The Conservative ‘Right’ is predominately Christian. You can attest that there are ‘Christian’ liberals, and I will appease you to say there are those who appear more conservative in the Left winged political fare then some in the Right’s party-yes, but for the most part Christians (et.al) fall into the Conservative Right category more than not. There is a renewed fervor of militant Conservatism, a revival if you will, not to the Doctrines of Christ, but to the falsified Doctrines of the ‘Founding Fathers.’ This abhorrent idolization of men passed is met with selective memory. The right wing revival is just as steeped in idolatry as the left wing hypercharismania of the 2008 elections. Politics is a Religion and that’s why our country and our brethren are in trouble. When I began to uncover the depth and breadth of the chasm of evil that has permeated the illusion of our current governmental system, I dually uncovered that the religious right is involved as well. I am not ignorant of the fact that religious organizations can be/or have been or currently are corrupted by money, power, and sin etc. I know this fact, but there were new things I began to find out. Namely the last man standing was not exactly standing on a solid rock foundation. And the pyramid of which sits atop of this foundation will crumble just as quickly as all the others who fall into (or began in) apostasy.
What the Right Leaves Out
Most well minded Christ centered people desire to live righteously. Christians intend to reflect their lives in a manner that displays Godly characteristics. Christians who follow after the Lord Jesus of the bible want to do right. There are some in the flanks who are simply ignorant. By ignorant, I mean ‘unaware’ of what is going on in the pre-game show and they don’t have time to stick around for the post-game wrap up. They show up, they vote their conscience, they pray it turns out as God would so will and they leave it at that. And God bless them for at least spending some neurons on thinking out their vote! However, what this God pleasing person neglects to do is something that the Father actually called Isaiah to do, “Come, let us reason.” God never suggests to us in His word or otherwise that we abandon our thought process and allow men, or women, to influence us when we vote. I spoke of ‘hypercharismania’ in reference to the Democratic party’s zeal in 2008, but we have since fallen under the same spell. Don’t say we haven’t there have been some misfires in our pursuits to simply put men and women with an (R) in front of their name into office only to later find out there were as cold blooded left as all get out! So what is the Right not telling us common folk? They’re not telling us that they in the upper echelons don’t necessarily need us. They are part of a greater and more deceptive plan than we can know or fully understand. I’ve begun to discern some of it, and of what I’ve uncovered it still escapes me how we’ve lasted as long as we have as a country and as people on earth without warranting God’s Holy Judgment on us! But then again, I serve an all knowing, all merciful, patient, and long-suffering Abba in Heaven who seeks that none should perish but that all should come to Him. There is a group of fundamental Christian Conservatives who have sold their soul to the devil, who say they are doing things in our best interest. For all intensive purposes these particular “Fundamentalist Christians” are not serving the same Jesus Christ we do in the Bible. Instead they serve a greedy and unadulterated pagan deity known as Lucifer himself. It would be in your best interest to search out the true purposes of those who call themselves our family.
A Warning
The word of God repeatedly petitions us to be aware, to be alert, to be sober; and there will be those who from ‘among’ you will seek to destroy you. If you know these warnings read them and re-read them. The time we have here is but a vapor; what we see with our natural eyes can play tricks on us, but there is ONE who knows all, and He has already told us what to expect. It is our duty to mature, to grow in the weightier things, and to seek out the Truth. He who is in you is greater than he of this world. Do your own research. Do not get accustomed to spoon feeding from major media personae or mega-pastors. Due diligence is of the essence. And remember, fix your eyes on Christ!
