“I am a Christian and I never committed apostasy.”

Meriam Yehya Ibrahim Ishag Christian pregnant woman sentenced to death Marriage photo A 27 year old Graduate of the School of Medicine at Khartoum University and lifelong Christian, Meriam Yehay Ibrahim  Ishag, also, 8 months pregnant; has been sentenced to death for “Apostasy.”

She’s lived her whole life as an Orthodox Christian in a Muslim country, the Sudan, her charge of Apostasy is apostasy against Islam for marrying a Christian and having two children by him. She has a 20 month old in jail with her and she is currently 8 months pregnant.

“Implying that her sentence might be annulled or reduced if she converted to Islam, the Public Order Court information, Mrs Ibrahim she had until tomorrow, Thursday, May 15, 2014 to pursue this option.

As of Thursday 5/15/14, “Meriam stoically refused to forsake Christianity, her lifelong faith, and the religion of the mother who raised her. Agence France Presse (AFP) described how just prior to her sentencing, “an Islamic religious leader spoke with her in the caged dock for about 30 minutes,”— likely one last ditch effort to convince Meriam to renounce her Christian faith, and become a Muslim. But despite the possibility of having her sentenced reduced, perhaps even annulled by “accepting Islam,” Meriam refused this coercive conversion, and calmly told the presiding Sharia judge the objective truth:

I am a Christian and I never committed apostasy.

In response, Judge Abbas Mohammed Al-Khalifa, addressing Meriam by her father’s Muslim name, Adraf Al-Hadi Mohammed Abdullah, rendered his Sharia-based punishment sentence:

We gave you three days to recant but you insist on not returning to Islam. I sentence you to be hanged.

Judge Khalifa also sentenced Meriam to 100 lashes for “adultery.” Source: PJ Media: article written by: Andrew Bostom

N4TM Commentary:

I came across this story in several sources:

Al Jazeera

NY Daily News

And they all say the same thing. The story from a Christian perspective is interesting and troubling. It is weird how these stories across so many different platforms all have the same basic information and nothing more. I t reminded me of the Christian in Iran who is being held. With great fervor the “International Christian Community” at large rallied behind him and still do to get him released.  I have found few details about who he (really) is, why he was there (the real answer), and why he’s not being released. It seems like they instantly become political toy things once the media catches wind of their situation. Obama is not in a rush to rescue the Christian, Saeed Abedini, from within Iran. Nor will Obama, especially not for a female, move any swifter on behalf of Meriam’s release. There was a terror attack in Kenya overnight, their day, and the recent cause with a hashtag to bring kidnapped Nigerian girls back to their homes is failing as well is more evidence of the constant turmoil taking place in Africa. Africa, specifically the ‘Horn’ of Africa, that held the old names like Kush and Phut, should give us pause. I always take note of the  happenings over there even if I don’t always write about them. This young lady may be hung already as her sentence is now more than 24 hours old. I think she was very brave in what she said. I had happened to be doing a study yesterday on another brave young woman, Esther, then also looking into areas in the Bible that mention the Holy Spirit and his role. I came across this verse before pulling together this post on Meriam:

8 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: 9 But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God. 10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven. 11 And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say: 12 For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say. Luke 12:8-12

Finally! Arizona Republicans Censure R.I.N.O John McCain

I feel like I’m beating a dead horse when I say that John McCain is a R.I.N.O (Republican -in- name- only). It’s about time some people made this move to “Censure” Senator John McCain. N4TM commentary at end of Censure text.

Candidates Religion Obama McCain 200820100120_cindymccainnh8_560x375john mccain wife cindy satan hand sign John McCainJohn McCain John Kerry1992-
Here is the Text of the Censure in all its glory:

“As leaders in the Republican Party, we are obligated to fully support our Party, platform, and its candidates. Only in times of great crisis or betrayal is it necessary to publicly censure our leaders. Today we are faced with both. For too long we have waited, hoping Senator McCain would return to our Party’s values on his own. That has not happened. So with sadness and humility we rise and declare:

Whereas Senator McCain has amassed a long and terrible record of drafting, co-sponsoring and voting for legislation best associated with liberal Democrats, such as Amnesty, funding for ObamaCare, the debt ceiling, assaults on the Constitution and 2nd amendment, and has continued to support liberal nominees;

Whereas this record has been disastrous and harmful to Arizona and the United States; and,

Whereas Senator McCain has campaigned as a conservative and made promises during his re-election campaigns, such as the needed and welcomed promise to secure our borders and finish the border fence, only to quickly flip-flop on those promises; and

Whereas McCain has abandoned our core values and has been eerily silent against Liberals, yet publicly reprimands Conservatives in his own Party, therefore

BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the Maricopa County Republican leadership censures Senator McCain for his continued disservice to our State and Nation, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that until he consistently champions our Party’s Platform and values, we, the Republican leadership in Arizona will no longer support, campaign for or endorse John McCain as our U.S. Senator.” Source: IC Arizona

[] N4TM Commentary

Let me explain. When I lived in the liberal heathen den of America, California, I thought there were still places that held to “Conservative” beliefs. When my family and I headed west- to Arizona, then Governor Brewer, Senator John McCain, and Joe Arpaio appeared to look like “Conservatives” from a far off. Once you’re close enough to see and you’re living in the state, and the msm can’t hide all their liberal leanings it’s much easier to discern that in fact none of the above are true conservatives. How could they be, in fact how can any of them really be when they are in the job of politics and they have to bend, they must compromise, they willingly give here and there to get a scratch on their back when in a political voting year. It’s sheer madness. Some people are literally shocked to find out that their “war hero” is really against gun ownership, or that his wife is highly liberal endorsing same sex marriage. Let’s not forget the more than 20 years of being side by side with one time Democrat, recently converted to the Independent party- Joesph Liberman. Liberman was liberal true and true and when he and John McCain were appearing everywhere together eons ago I had a clue then to John McCain’s liberal leanings. Anyway, McCain has endorsed arming Islamic terrorist organizations that seek to kill us. He may play the “American Patriot” act in D.C and on camera  but his actions spell W-A-R- M-O-N-G-E-R at every turn. He’s a bigger flip flop than Romney was, and that’s saying a lot. McCain is worse than a RINO, he’s an Illuminati puppet and I’m sure this censure will have no effect on his career as he’s embedded deep and has been around long enough to know enough to continue on in his position. He clearly does not represent Conservatives here in Arizona and I personally voted against him his last Senate run, and would like to see him voted out and move out of this state! But beware whoever gets this guy living in whatever state he moves to!

John McCain has been Censured before, 2005, it didn’t work then and I’m positive it won’t matter now.

The Third Vatican Council that never was…or was it? #Hoaxthirdvaticancouncil

time-pope-francisThere is a saying, “Every lie has a bit of truth in it.” Or something like that. An N4TM reader sent me an urgent email concerning “The Third Vatican Council.” The things the “Pope said” within it were demonic, blasphemous, sacrilege, an abomination of the truth of God’s word; however, it turned out to be a grand hoax perpetrated on the pages of some blogger. It wasn’t the reader’s fault for believing the post to be true, because in fact when you read the post (read here * not an endorsement of blogger) much of what you read you instantly recall the Pope having said at one time or another in some form or fashion to the effect the blogger “quoted” him. At various times the Pope of today has said outrageous things like even those of no faith, “the atheist,” strives to be moral and can thusly be ushered into heaven based on good works. We’ve heard it or read it before. There were some things within the text that lent to a possible ruse. As I read, the author stated the Pope “pounded the podium” and “his voice could be heard a far off,” implying the Pope was yelling. I found that hard to believe, from what little I know of this current Pope he prides himself on restraint and humility so that seemed juxtaposed to his persona.

There was another claim in the Hoax post that was less fiction and more fact. The author quoted Pope Francis as saying “all religions are true and worship the same God.” Pope Francis may have not uttered those exact words but when you read the Second Vatican Council documents, written 50 years ago, you will discern as much. To read click here:

Here is an excerpt:

3. The Church regards with esteem also the Moslems. They adore the one God,  living and subsisting in Himself; merciful and all- powerful, the Creator of  heaven and earth,(5) who has spoken to men; they take pains to submit  wholeheartedly to even His inscrutable decrees, just as Abraham, with whom the  faith of Islam takes pleasure in linking itself, submitted to God. Though they  do not acknowledge Jesus as God, they revere Him as a prophet. They also honor  Mary, His virgin Mother; at times they even call on her with devotion. In  addition, they await the day of judgment when God will render their deserts to  all those who have been raised up from the dead. Finally, they value the moral  life and worship God especially through prayer, almsgiving and fasting.

Since in the course of centuries not a few quarrels and hostilities have  arisen between Christians and Moslems, this sacred synod urges all to forget the  past and to work sincerely for mutual understanding and to preserve as well as  to promote together for the benefit of all mankind social justice and moral  welfare, as well as peace and freedom.

4. As the sacred synod searches into the mystery of the Church, it remembers  the bond that spiritually ties the people of the New Covenant to Abraham’s  stock.

Thus the Church of Christ acknowledges that, according to God’s saving  design, the beginnings of her faith and her election are found already among the  Patriarchs, Moses and the prophets. She professes that all who believe in  Christ-Abraham’s sons according to faith (6)-are included in the same  Patriarch’s call, and likewise that the salvation of the Church is mysteriously  foreshadowed by the chosen people’s exodus from the land of bondage. The Church,  therefore, cannot forget that she received the revelation of the Old Testament  through the people with whom God in His inexpressible mercy concluded the  Ancient Covenant. Nor can she forget that she draws sustenance from the root of  that well-cultivated olive tree onto which have been grafted the wild shoots,  the Gentiles.(7) Indeed, the Church believes that by His cross Christ, Our  Peace, reconciled Jews and Gentiles. making both one in Himself.(8)

The Church keeps ever in mind the words of the Apostle about his kinsmen:  “theirs is the sonship and the glory and the covenants and the law and the  worship and the promises; theirs are the fathers and from them is the Christ  according to the flesh” (Rom. 9:4-5), the Son of the Virgin Mary. She also  recalls that the Apostles, the Church’s main-stay and pillars, as well as most  of the early disciples who proclaimed Christ’s Gospel to the world, sprang from  the Jewish people.” End of Quote

The Third Council is a myth. There has not been a Third Council; however, there has been a Second, and if you bother to read the documents concerning the Second Vatican Council; you’ll discover that the Second Council has reached many of their stated goals in blurring the line between religions and “gathering” all into the fold (RCC).

The Third Council Hoax Post- was it a Psy OP?

lovethefalse3rdVaticanpopemsg 1Of course it was. It may have been marketed as “Satire” but what really ended up happening was the intended result. The masses took a little bit of time to find it, it was published on 12-5-2013, I recieved my first email regarding it on 1-7-14. It took some time to garner a following, but soon it was tweeted and passed along on FB and reblogged by those people whom the message resonated.

People love the ideology of the fake Third Vatican Council.

Very few found it abhorrent and less recognized that everything quoted by the fictitious Pope of the Third Vatican Council was anti-Christ, anti-biblical, and down right evil.

So we have a picture developing. Data states that the people would willingly, and openly accept the claims made by the Pope were he to state publicly and openly what he probably whispers privately to his Jesuit bishops and Illuminati pals down the secret corridors of the Vatican.

Controversy Over 5th-Grader’s Religion Speech « CBS Tampa

Controversy Over 5th-Grader’s Religion Speech « CBS Tampa. (Fair Use)

TAMPA, Fla. (CBS Tampa) – A 5th grade student won first place after he gave a speech about the history of people using religion to justify murder, but was stripped of his title the same day by a school official.

Zachary Golob-Drake gave the speech to his class at the Patel Partnership School in hopes that he would be chosen to represent the school at the regional 4-H Tropicana Public Speech Contest, WFLA-TV reports. He was to deliver the speech Thursday morning to the entire 4th and 5th grades classes and two winners, one from each grade, were to be chosen to represent the school.

Golob-Drake said the assistant principal told him his speech was inappropriate before school was dismissed.

“She started talking to me about how she thought my speech wasn’t appropriate for 4th and 5th graders and she thought that probably I would have to rewrite my speech, take the religion out or not compete,” Golob-Drake explained to WFLA.

He told her that he would need to think about it at home. There is a brief paragraph on the Crusades, Genghis Khan and the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11 in his speech. He ends it by encouraging the “Golden Rule,” saying that it would “make the world a better place.”

“She said to me probably the fairest thing to do is to take your ribbon,” Golob-Drake said.

He was crying when his older brother arrived at the school to pick him up. The assistant gave back the ribbon after his brother went and spoke to her, Rhonda Golob-Drake, their mother said. Rhonda Golob-Drake spent four hours on the phone with school officials, district officials and representatives from the Tropicana contest.

The school postponed the contest until Monday. Parents of 4th and 5th grade students will receive permission slips detailing all of the speech titles to let parents decide whether or not they want their children to hear the speeches.

School District Spokeswoman Tanya Arja told WFLA that school officials told her that the controversy wasn’t about the religious aspect.

“The concern was over the topic of mass murders,” Arja said. “Because these are 4th and 5th graders.”End of Quote

[] N4TM Commentary

How is any teacher ever going to teach about The Holocaust, Genocide in Dafur, Columbine? These were all mass murders. The spokeswoman would have been better off saying her real reason was because this young man was calling out the ills within religion, its justification of killing, versus saying it was over the topic of mass murders. She painted herself into a corner and everyone knows she’s lying. Maybe she’s trying to hide her bigotry, her animosity towards Christian faiths, or her plain ignorance of the topic. Bravo for this brave young kid thinking for himself. I did not hear the speech, but the fact that someone has been teaching him something of critical thinking is amazing. For a young man to be even tossing those ideas in his head and producing a thoughtful and provoking speech on it is commendable. If his parents own guns I suggest to those parents they have them put in a safe and lock the guns. We saw recently how the last speech and debate socialist turned out– Karl Haverson Pierson of Arapahoe High school.

Law enforcement personnel arrive at the high school in a military-style vehicle. “Pierson has been described as a dedicated and bright student from a religious family who attends Bible study meetings, leaving those that knew him shocked. “They’re just a normal middle-class family, like many of the families around here,” neighbour Diane Shea said. Thomas Conrad, who had an economics class with the gunman, described him as a very opinionated Socialist. “He was exuberant I guess,” Conrad told The Denver Post.”

“I knew him and he was a self-described communist, not a democrat in the truest form. He was very intellectual and read a lot. His motives were described by his speech and debate teammate: “Karl half-jokingly threatened to kill Mr. Murphy, and Mr. Murphy got him suspended for saying that,” Redmond told the Daily News. “Karl wanted to go to the Air Force Academy and they don’t look positively on suspensions so (Karl) felt like Mr. Murphy had ruined his life.”

“Pierson’s Facebook page, before it was taken down, was a window into the mind of the accused shooter. He wrote a lot about economics and politics, calling himself a “Keynesian” and jesting that neoclassic economic theory would not help fix the economy. He also used his Facebook to routinely mock Republicans like this, as quoted by the Denver Post:

“The Republican Party: Health Care: Let ‘em Die, Climate Change: Let ‘em Die, Gun Violence: Let ‘em Die, Women’s Rights: Let ‘em Die, More War: Let ‘em Die.

Is this really the side you want to be on?”

One classmate described him as harmless but said he could get verbally aggressive and very heated when debating and discussing politics with teachers and student.

“But the librarian — accompanied by a janitor — had departed the school building as soon as the incident began to unfold, he said.

The janitor told CNN affiliate KMGH on Friday that the student was wearing tactical gear.

“It just looked weird,” Fabian Llerenas said. “He went in and I heard two pops. That’s when I knew. I said, ‘They are shooting in the school.'”

Llerenas said he called security and then escorted the faculty member out of the school.

Pierson had fired at the man but missed, Llerenas told KUSA.

“He was so shooken up, he felt the wind out of the shotgun just blow his hair out, but it didn’t hit him.”

The rampage might have resulted in many more casualties had it not been for the quick response of a deputy sheriff who was working as a school resource officer at the school, Robinson said.

Once he learned of the threat, he ran — accompanied by an unarmed school security officer and two administrators — from the cafeteria to the library, Robinson said. “It’s a fairly long hallway, but the deputy sheriff got there very quickly.”

The deputy was yelling for people to get down and identified himself as a county deputy sheriff, Robinson said. “We know for a fact that the shooter knew that the deputy was in the immediate area and, while the deputy was containing the shooter, the shooter took his own life.”

Pierson’s body remained inside the school until about 5 a.m. Saturday, when the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office removed it.

His mother was out of town on family business, but both parents have spoken with investigators, said Robinson, who added that the dead man appeared to have acted alone.

Police executed search warrants for Pierson’s car and his mother’s house and his father’s house, though Robinson would not say what may have been found.

Frank Woronoff told CNN he had known Pierson since they were freshmen together.

“He was the last person I would expect to shoot up a high school,” the high school senior said. “He was honestly incredibly humble and down to earth. He was a little geeky, but in a charming way.”

After it was clear that Pierson was no longer a threat, police escorted the school’s 2,000 students from the buildings. TV crews who by now had descended on the campus en masse showed dozens of students — their hands in the air — walking out of the school. Some stood in lines at a field, where they were patted down by police.

The Holy Ghost Preparatory School should be indicted: Gay Teacher fired for seeking marriage license to 12yr partner

Here’s the breaking news via NBC 4 Los Angeles:IMG_0490.JPG SNNEWS gayparade

*N4TM Commentary to follow below

“High school teacher Michael Griffin was fired from his position at Holy Ghost Preparatory School in Bensalem on Friday after applying for a marriage license in New Jersey with his partner, a move that the school says “contradicts the terms of his teaching contract.”

Griffin, an alumnus of the private all boys liberal arts Catholic high school, had taught Spanish and French at the school for the past 12 years. He first  posted about his termination on Facebook Friday morning.

“Today I applied for a marriage license since NJ now has marriage equality,” Griffin wrote. “After 12 years together I was excited to finally be able to marry my partner. Because of that, I was fired from Holy Ghost Preparatory School today. I am an alumnus of the school and have taught there for 12 years. I feel hurt, saddened, betrayed and except for this post, am at a loss for words.”

Griffin says an email he wrote to school administration informing them of he and his partner’s plan to obtain a marriage license is what opened the can of worms and ultimately lead to his firing.

He says that he was blindsided by the school’s reaction and that his relationship with his partner had never been a secret to faculity and administration.

“I’ve been with my partner for more than 12 years, the entire time I’ve been teaching at the school,” said Griffin. “He’s been to numerous school functions with me, he’s even been to McCloskey’s house.”

When contacted for comment, the school’s headmaster, Fr. James McCloskey, said in a statement that Griffin’s termination was due to his obtaining a license to marry his same-sex partner, a violation of the school’s teaching terms and the contract that Griffin was under.

“At a meeting in my office yesterday, teacher Michael Griffin made clear that he obtained a license to marry his same sex partner,” McCloskey wrote in a statement obtained by NBC10. “Unfortunately, this decision contradicts the terms of his teaching contract at our school, which requires all faculty and staff to follow the teachings of the Church as a condition of their employment. In discussion with Mr. Griffin, he acknowledged that he was aware of this provision, yet he said that he intended to go ahead with the ceremony. Regretfully, we informed Mr. Griffin that we have no choice but to terminate his contract effective immediately.”

He believes this section of the teachers code of conduct is the one that led to his firing:

“That, although, the School welcomes teachers from other denominations and recognizes their rights to religious freedom, as employees of a Catholic institution, all teachers are expected to uphold lifestyles compatible with the moral teaching of the Roman Catholic Church.”

On Saturday, following an outpouring of support across social media sites,  Griffin posted another statement on his Facebook page:

“Thank you to everyone for all of your messages of love and support since yesterday,” Griffin said. “It is so overwhelming and my heart aches over everything that has happened. Holy Ghost helped form me to be the person that I am today. Even though I am no longer employed there, I wanted to share their mission and philosophy, because I feel like I have tried to make it my life’s philosophy as best I can, even now. I am trying to move forward with a peaceful heart and wish nothing but the best to my colleagues and students who mean the world to me.”

“I really did love working there, I went to school there, they formed who I am. I’m sure I’ll find employment at another school, hopefully rather sooner than later.” END QUOTE

being gay is not a sin imgscreenshot nbc 4 gay teacher fired story

[]N4TM Commentary:

This story came across my twitter feed this morning and I knew I would have to post this. Of course this story has many implications. The first thing you notice with NBC’s title is that a “Gay teacher” is being “Fired” for wanting to marry his partner; and, that immediately paints him as a “victim,” and his firing as socially unjust. Once you read the article and understand that the Gay teacher taught at a Catholic Private school other bells go off. First, the Catholic Church as an institution is going to come under fire for this, but wait, didn’t the Pope himself remove condemnation of Homosexuals just this year? Yes, yes he did. Then second, is there going to be a law suit which will attack private schools for discrimination, due to the firing of this gay man for seeking to marry his gay partner? Will all private schools now have to employ openly gay people, transgenders, etc? Thirdly, and most importantly in my opinion, was the downright absence of the POWER of the Holy Spirit in this “Holy Ghost Preparatory” school. The “victim” in this case states he is an alumni himself of this school and then taught at this school, and openly paraded his partner of 12 years at school functions and in front of the “headmaster” (principal). This is why in my title I called for an indictment of this school, because obviously there is no teaching of the bible, no exhortation happening for these young men to live godly, no clear cut teaching of sin and the unholy union of homosexuality to begin with. This school should not bear the name Holy Ghost. I am no defender of the false teachings within the Catholic religion, but clearly there are some teachings there that support and advocate the Sanctity of Life and also, unbeknownst to the current Pope (Francis) the Catholic church used to recognize homosexuality as a sin.

Despite what the young man in the image above believes (Matthew Vines), and all those homosexuals professing to be Christians and also gay, the Bible is very clear that homosexuality is a sin. The teacher in the story above was raised assuming in a Catholic home, went to a Catholic school, went on to earn his degrees to teach in the same Catholic school, and not once did he ever feel conflicted or convicted by the Holy Spirit that his behavior, his lifestyle, his lusts after other men were/are an abomination to the LORD? Clearly there was no gospel preaching, no good news taught about dealing with secret sins, nor about confessing your sins before a Holy and Righteous God in the school he attended or any of the so called Christians he communed with. He was so comfortable in his sin that he was “blindsided” by his firing since everyone knew he was openly gay! For that reason I call for an indictment of this school. The headmaster should be fired too!

SCOTUS Tackles Government Prayer in Greece v. Galloway | Politics | Religion Dispatches

An update on Greece vs Galloway.prayer-hands-375x250
The Supreme Court heard the argument and does not intend to take any action until June of 2014.

Excerpt from Religion Dispatches:

“In a move that raised some eyebrows the Obama administration filed an amicus brief in support of Greece and the ADF. Solicitor General Donald Verrilli’s brief referred to the 1983 Marsh ruling, arguing that “Courts should not parse or evaluate the content of prayer.”

The other briefs filed were, predictably, split along ideological lines with conservative groups and individuals filing on behalf of the petitioner, and their liberal counterparts filing on behalf of the respondents. Unlike the throngs of protestors surrounding the courthouse during DOMA and Prop. 8 debates, only a few dozen people joined American Atheists and the Secular Coalition of America in demonstrating outside the court accompanied by an even smaller number of conservative Christian protestors.

According to Boston, their opponents on the religious right say AU is trying to make an artificial distinction between state legislative prayer and local government prayer. “We assert that the two bodies are different, and therefore different rules should apply.” However, AU’s position only applies to sectarian prayers that favor one faith over another. They do not assert that all prayer should be removed from government bodies. “That would require SCOTUS to overturn their 1983 Marsh ruling, a decision that is extremely unlikely given this court.”

Also, Boston explains why getting rid of the prayers entirely isn’t at issue in this case.

Marsh v. Chambers is the controlling case. It allows a certain degree of prayer at legislative meetings. The question is, did the town of Greece go too far by consistently using Christian prayers? We argue that they did. Having said that, it is possible that the court could issue a ruling allowing communities to use invocations as long as a good-faith effort is made to encompass all points of view. A ruling like that could open the door to non-theistic invocations.

Here AU’s position differs slightly from other organizations promoting separation of church and state like the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty which filed an amicus brief, along with the United Church of Christ and Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), in support of the respondents. According to Holly Hollman, general counsel of the Baptist Joint Committee, “While we do not say Marsh is wrongly decided (and neither did AU), we say that it does not apply to state and local governments, even if it is non-sectarian as AU argues it must be.” In other words, while AU argues that the issue is the sectarianism of the prayers in question these groups argue that prayer itself doesn’t belong in state and local government business.

The Secular Coalition of America explained why it agrees with the no prayer position: “Our stance is that any prayer, by definition is non-inclusive, because it excludes non-theists and others who don’t feel comfortable with public displays of religion. So, we think there should be no prayer.”

A ruling is not expected until June 2014,” End of quote. Click on link above for full article.

The Mesa Public Schools governing board has quietly ended its tradition of starting public meetings with a non-denominational prayer.
Instead, board President Mike Nichols on Tuesday asked audience members to observe a moment of silence after saying the Pledge of Allegiance.

A ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court on a public-prayer case this week could impact prayer at all levels of government, including school districts, many public officials believe.

Nichols and board member Michelle Udall said Mesa schools’ legal counsel recently advised that if the district were to be sued over the prayer said by district staff before public meetings, the district likely would lose.
“We were told it’s a church-state issue,” Udall said. “We would likely not win in the long run.”
End of quote. Fair use.

[]N4TM Commentary:

Mesa Public Schools didn’t wait for the Supreme Justices to make a decision, they opted to fold before hand. I wouldn’t doubt that these “quiet” moves to remove prayer from public meetings hasn’t begun around the Nation. I live in Arizona so I follow AZ Central on Twitter and saw this tweet this morning. However, very little is being said publicly about the case that is causing the anxiety. Greece V. Galloway is the case and it was the doing of a Christian Liberties lobby to bring it before the SCOTUS justices.

“After a district court ruled in favor of the town of Greece AU won at the appellate level on behalf of the plaintiffs. One of the judges in that case, noting that “Roughly two-thirds [of the prayers] contained references to ‘Jesus Christ,’ ‘Jesus,’ ‘Your Son’ or the ‘Holy Spirit,'” concluded that it amounted to an “endorsement” of Christianity.

Following this ruling, the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), a leading religious right legal organization, appealed to SCOTUS arguing that pastors should have the freedom to offer prayers in accordance with their religious tradition when speaking on behalf of the government.

Upon initial glance, it seems like a clear violation of church-state separation, but there is a wrinkle. Thirty years earlier, in Marsh v. Chambers, SCOTUS ruled that the Nebraska legislature’s decision to hire a chaplain to open each legislative session with a non-sectarian prayer did not violate the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment of the Constitution.

The Secular Coalition of America explained why it agrees with the no prayer position: Our stance is that any prayer, by definition is non-inclusive, because it excludes non-theists and others who don’t feel comfortable with public displays of religion. So, we think there should be no prayer.”

A ruling is not expected until June 2014.”

If the United States Supreme Court outlawed public prayer would you still pray?

If the United States Government outlawed prayer, “in the name of Jesus Christ,” would you still call upon His name?

God has dealt with nations before who have purposed in their heart and mind to turn from Him.

1 Corinthians 4:9-14 KJV

“For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men. We are fools for Christ’s sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised. Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace; And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it: Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day. I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you.”

Billy Graham’s final Sermon: The Cross **not an Endorsement of Billy Graham

Let me start by saying:

2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:”

15Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. 16And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.” i John 4:2 and 15

I do not have a bit of admiration for Billy Graham. I  have never watched him preach on tv or elsewhere. I’ve never listened to his old sermons. I know who he is; he is a registered Democrat, a liberal pastor who has preached to millions of people and several US presidents. I know that Billy Graham once stated that there were/are many paths to God and in doing so pluralized God and widened the Ecumenical road to hell. I know that there is high speculation that Billy Graham is/was a Mason. I know that Billy Graham has revered a few Pontiffs which is again in my view heretical and ecumenical. Billy Graham is highly influential in Crusade evangelism and hence grew close to the Calvary Chapel movement and many pastors in Calvary Chapel. I know that every time I hear “Billy Graham” referenced in church (and it’s happened at every church (and one women’s retreat) I’ve ever attended, often if not every time in a positive) I cringe and can only think of the detriment he’s caused. Stating all this, admitting my bias against Billy Graham, I still wanted to watch this ‘show’ to hear what he had to say for his last public sermon. I am after all a wannabe journalist, someone who seeks to provide the news story whether I agree or not, but I’m also a very biased blogger and I have the right to also state my perspective.

Thus I set out and I watched the above Youtube video. I did not watch the show that aired on who knows what channel so if this thing was longer I am unaware.

Setting the obvious aside Billy Graham presented the Gospel of Jesus Christ without deviation and both of the personal testimonies did as well. (not yet getting to the gritty bits and pieces of where some of these people hang their hats–wait for it people)

I’ve gotten a lot of comments condemning me for exposing things about Calvary Chapel and Chuck Smith, and I’ve been wanting to write a piece in response to that issue; however, I’m still thinking about it. For now some of what I would have said in regards to Mr. Smith can be applied to Mr. Graham as well. Is Billy Graham my brother in Christ? Is he a false prophet, a false professor, a heretic? I bid you revisit 1 John 4:2 and 15. I’ll let you think about that one. If he is my brother I’m told I must love him as a brother in Christ:

20If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? 21And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. 1 John 4:20

I do love God. I do not hate my brother(n) or my sisters in Christ.  I love those who are completely and totally saved-born again-regenerate people but don’t look like me or fit the mold I think they should. I love even those who are in Christian cults (like Calvary Chapel) where Christ is preached and the Gospel proclaimed; and although some are saved, they are then fed false doctrines, teachings, and teachers . Prayerfully as they grow in Christ and read His word they will see and hear and get discernment and leave. I love my brothers and sisters at Calvary Chapels all across this planet. Is that clear enough?

I will go a step further than that, and say, “I also love my enemies.” Yes, I love my enemies. My God also commands me, beside loving my brothers and sisters in Christ, I must also love my enemies who seek to destroy me.

38Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: 39But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. 40And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also. 41And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain. 42Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

43Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. 46For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? 47And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? 48Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” Matthew 5:38-48

If Billy Graham, Lecrae, and Lacey Sturm (Flyleaf lead singer) are all not saved and they are lost, then I must love them anyway.

I watched the video, knowing a few things about Billy Graham (and a tiny bit about Lecrae’s background); although I didn’t know who “Lacey Sturm” was at first I know a little about ‘Flyleaf'; and as I watched the video, I tried to focus on what they were saying instead of my preconceived judgment calls. I could identify with both personal testimonies. I was saved from a lot, delivered from many of the same sins, and my growing up was not safe and cushy in a church culture it was the street of hard knocks, a dark place that God rescued me from. I could empathize with their testimonies. I heard clearly sinners who were saved by recognizing that they are sinners and they sounded like repentance was present, praise God. What I don’t understand is how someone can meet a great and Holy God and continue to look so dark and continue to stay in that dark lifestyle, propping up images of death and symbols reserved for Satan’s minions. Despite my coming from a “liberal, evangelical, non-denominational” church at my beginnings, I was still impressed that yes, God makes all things new and the old man (in my case the old chick who sinned without conviction) is now a new creature; and I put off the old things, and that included my dress, my music, and my paraphernalia. Perhaps I was pendulum swinging, and I went full throttle into being a “Christian” both on the inside and on the outside, but that’s what God did in my life. Over the years I’ve learned to let go of my Pharisaical ways but now I’m just old and dogmatic about things because I’m older and dogmatic about things.

For instance, how do you justify this:

Lacey Strum Flyleaf concert with whosoevers 2012lacey Strum with the Whosoevers

whosoevers junk

A picture is worth 1,000 words they say, so I’ll let these images do their own speaking.

I get that not everyone can receive the message of Christ from a pew, in a clean sterilized “sin-free” zone. I mean really, there is no such place. I trust that God can call His own in unique ways and when He does it’s always a miracle. I heard the gospel at Calvary Chapel for goodness sakes, my salvation is true and real, I didn’t lose my salvation when I walked out of the dove laden doors. I didn’t have to get saved again; because as I grew in Christ I grew up to an understanding that there were deep rooted false teachers in the system that is Calvary (Chapel), and I most certainly don’t think that everyone who gets saved has to look like me, or talk like me. I’m not better than any of my fellow Christians.

I do think however that Satan likes to keep people chained to darkness although they have had encounters with the light. I do believe children (state of maturity in Christ) need to grow up and get out of feeling the need to prop up pop culture within the church body and show the next generation how to become mature Christians. Getting tattoos and wearing Satanic symbols is not going to preach the Gospel of Christ to the heathen, it only encourages them to stay as they are. Calvary Chapel used a mantra back in the day, I’m not sure if they still say this, “Come as you are,” but that was never a license to stay in a permanent state of defilement!

That young lady Lacey had a beautiful story of redemption. I was impressed by her 180 degree turn to a loving God and recognizing that she was “so not good.” Then as I pieced together that this was the same head singer of fly leaf I was thinking, why does she continue to look so dark and sad and stuck in bondage? Why put on the cloak of all the emotional baggage she claims God delivered her from? I don’t get it, but maybe that’s good.

I scrolled through images of her and noticed that her tattoos change and appear and disappear in different photos. Is it merely an image, a facade, acting? Certainly she was dramatic in the Billy Graham video and she apparently is very often emotional. (fruit of self control?) The hanging of the hat with elk like “The Whosoevers?” I think there’s a verse about bad company corrupting good morals. The Whosoevers emblems are down right demonic and another blogger has written sufficient enough about them that I don’t have to reinvent the wheel.

See here. (and there are much more on the same site)

If this is Billy Graham’s last sermon, extracting what his company said and who they are, the message of what Christ did for us on the Cross is true. It’s a shame that you have to muck through all this other stuff. The unsaved person wouldn’t know a lick about Flyleaf, or Lacey Sturm, or understand or question Lecrae’s emblem on his shirt in this piece. The lost person won’t understand why a supposed Christian Pastor who proclaims Jesus Christ alone is shown shaking hands with the Pope (Paul ll now deceased), or ever heard that Billy Graham once stated “All roads lead to Heaven.”

If this is all the sinner saw and heard, I pray they heard the Gospel, the Word of God that was strategically interwoven through the mud and that God’s two edged sword, His word, His love penetrated through the marrow and the despair and saved a soul. Jesus Christ does want to save the Lost, to redeem the cold hearted sinner and give new life to people who are dead in their trespasses. Get to the Cross of Calvary, meet Jesus, know that he died for you, but he’s not dead; He’s ALIVE! He’s risen! He makes intercession for you. He wants to change all of you in a dramatic way and He can if you allow Him. All this other stuff, the crazy tatt’d up Christians the ones who continue to cry in misery, don’t look to them, look to a victorious Lord and Savior. Learn about who He is from His word.

Loving the sinner, the lost, and the misdirected saved born again Christian is not the same as saying the lost unregenerate Christ denier can get to heaven. Saying I love my brothers and sisters in Christ doesn’t translate to me endeavoring with them in their false teachings. Love is not license to love them to hell, which is what we do if we do not tell them that there is Only One Way to God the Father and that is through Jesus Christ LORD and Savior. So then, this message of Billy Graham above is not the same as what he’s said in the past:  Billy Graham says all roads lead to Heaven, even non-believers. That is not the gospel message that is ecumenical at best heretical at worst. It’s a lie from the pit of hell. Did Billy Graham change his tune, back toward a solid gospel?  Or is he merely trying to redeem his missteps and false teachings? I don’t have the answer to that.

I do know that Christ warned us of false teachers, rising from among ‘us.’ We are to know them, to recognize them, and know our Bible enough to rebuke false teachings when we hear them.
