Mesa school board ends opening-prayer custom Ahead of Supreme Court Justice Rule in Greece vs. Galloway

The Mesa Public Schools governing board has quietly ended its tradition of starting public meetings with a non-denominational prayer.
Instead, board President Mike Nichols on Tuesday asked audience members to observe a moment of silence after saying the Pledge of Allegiance.

A ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court on a public-prayer case this week could impact prayer at all levels of government, including school districts, many public officials believe.

Nichols and board member Michelle Udall said Mesa schools’ legal counsel recently advised that if the district were to be sued over the prayer said by district staff before public meetings, the district likely would lose.
“We were told it’s a church-state issue,” Udall said. “We would likely not win in the long run.”
End of quote. Fair use.

[]N4TM Commentary:

Mesa Public Schools didn’t wait for the Supreme Justices to make a decision, they opted to fold before hand. I wouldn’t doubt that these “quiet” moves to remove prayer from public meetings hasn’t begun around the Nation. I live in Arizona so I follow AZ Central on Twitter and saw this tweet this morning. However, very little is being said publicly about the case that is causing the anxiety. Greece V. Galloway is the case and it was the doing of a Christian Liberties lobby to bring it before the SCOTUS justices.

“After a district court ruled in favor of the town of Greece AU won at the appellate level on behalf of the plaintiffs. One of the judges in that case, noting that “Roughly two-thirds [of the prayers] contained references to ‘Jesus Christ,’ ‘Jesus,’ ‘Your Son’ or the ‘Holy Spirit,'” concluded that it amounted to an “endorsement” of Christianity.

Following this ruling, the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), a leading religious right legal organization, appealed to SCOTUS arguing that pastors should have the freedom to offer prayers in accordance with their religious tradition when speaking on behalf of the government.

Upon initial glance, it seems like a clear violation of church-state separation, but there is a wrinkle. Thirty years earlier, in Marsh v. Chambers, SCOTUS ruled that the Nebraska legislature’s decision to hire a chaplain to open each legislative session with a non-sectarian prayer did not violate the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment of the Constitution.

The Secular Coalition of America explained why it agrees with the no prayer position: Our stance is that any prayer, by definition is non-inclusive, because it excludes non-theists and others who don’t feel comfortable with public displays of religion. So, we think there should be no prayer.”

A ruling is not expected until June 2014.”

If the United States Supreme Court outlawed public prayer would you still pray?

If the United States Government outlawed prayer, “in the name of Jesus Christ,” would you still call upon His name?

God has dealt with nations before who have purposed in their heart and mind to turn from Him.

1 Corinthians 4:9-14 KJV

“For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men. We are fools for Christ’s sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised. Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace; And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it: Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day. I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you.”

Culture of Death + Post Apostate Church Generation = No Fear of the Lord or Consequences for actions

Red Mountain HS Mesa AZ Student arrested in murder plot 12.20.12 Today this news flash came across my local news: “16 year old GIRL arrested for plotting to Murder her fellow students at her high school, then herself.”

The details of this story include her plan to cut wires for security, ignite a bomb, and wait out front of the school to shoot the kids as they came running out.

This is all too close to me personally and I have tried to avoid discussing the Newtown tragedy for various reasons but on today’s news report I feel spurred to say something here.

I must first apologize if my sentiments seem harsh and insensitive, believe me I mourn and lament for the lives lost in Newtown Ct., this is not directed at those in mourning but to those of us who are struggling to “make sense” of this situation we find ourselves in.

First of all, this doesn’t “make sense;” the killing of innocents is senseless and barbaric, and ultimately what happened in Newtown and Aurora this year were nothing short of Satanic. So let’s begin there shall we, this is difficult for the non-believer to comprehend but as Christians we recognize that *we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and darkness. (Ref. Ephesians 6:12)

The kids of today have to be held accountable. This is hard for parents to understand because the generation that are the parents of these mass murderers are products of the Apostate Church. The Apostate church in America does not teach sound doctrine, they don’t tell people they are sinners in need of a savior, they don’t tell their congregation to “Repent” of anything, all the preacher man says is “Ask Jesus into your heart.” I’m sorry, that’s not enough, and that’s a step in the right direction but how can God enter in when there is unrepentance. What are you being saved from if you have never confessed/repented of the sins you have committed that destine you for hell. Oh, that’s another off the record topic, HELL. Yes, there is a Hell, and if you kill people you most certainly will burn there, forever.

thou shall not killThe Post-Apostate church generation doesn’t hear Exodus 20:13 in church. Maybe we need to tell our kids this and they will understand that they do NOT get to live forever if they kill their fellow students then off themselves. This is harsh I understand but I’m very upset right now and I’m sick to my stomach from listening to people whine and complain about Gun laws and wanting to ban guns when there is a greater evil arising than people who exercise their 2nd Amendment Right.

To the Kids

Here’s the good news Kids, and parents, there is a GOD, the very same God that tells you NOT to kill, who LOVES you and sent His SON to this earth, to live, and to die for you and all your dirty little sins so that you can go to heaven and live forever with Him in a far better place than this. The key is you have to confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, that He is who He said He is, that is God in the Flesh, the first begotten; and, repent of your sins so that HE can forgive you of your sins. Wanting and desiring to kill people is a SIN.

To the Parents

We need to teach our kids that there is a GOD in Heaven who loves them. Jesus Christ the Messiah, came and lived and died FOR THEM as well! Do your children know that peace? Do they know that there is evil in this world? Then do they know how to battle that evil? Our children who know Christ KNOW Peace and can have hope while living in this world. You, parent, do you Know Christ Jesus as your Savior? Do you teach your kids what God requires? We have created this vicious cycle in our society of nannying our kids from cradle to grave. We’ve lied to them and told them they only need “think positively” and their life will be well. We have a lot of responsibility here as well to be teachers.

Aurora and Newtown Macrocosms of the microcosm ie. your neighborhood

If you took the MSM reports at face value and did no critical thinking other than what they tell you is the story than at least based on that information alone you have to be asking yourselves, “Why are these affluent kids of affluent parents so neglected emotionally, mentally, and above all spiritually that they concoct in their brain ideas of mass murder?” Do you think quite possibly that there may be an enemy of God that is a destroyer who seeks to gain control of young impressionable and hopeless kids to do his bidding? This year, both the Aurora killer and the Newtown killer came from wealthy homes, affluent neighborhoods, and were both considered brilliant minds. The young lady in Mesa Arizona who desired to kill her fellow students and then kill herself is from an above middle to high income area, it’s not the ghetto where kids are struggling on a day to day basis with basic necessities of life.

My Petition to Parents

I beseech the parents once again, What are you doing that is so much more important than knowing your own kids and what they are doing? Do you not know Christ Jesus the Lord yourself? Do you not know the bible nor believe it when it gives directions and guidelines on how to live your life? I am far from self-righteous, I fall short in many areas, daily, but I have made it a point to teach my kids about The WORD of God, that became Flesh, Jesus Christ Messiah, who lived and died, and rose again, for them. That is the hope for this world, that they too can be saved. He is waiting for you. Come to know Him before it’s too late.

Billy Graham, Mitt Romney Meet- Source BGEA (not an endorsement) 10-11-12 Billy Graham throws his weight behind Governor Mitt Romney for Potus.

“It was a privilege to pray with Gov. Romney—for his family and our country. I will turn 94 the day after the upcoming election, and I believe America is at a crossroads. I hope millions of Americans will join me in praying for our nation and to vote for candidates who will support the biblical definition of marriage, protect the sanctity of life and defend our religious freedoms.”- Billy G.

Billy Graham (Registered Democrat) has been Ecumenical for decades. Go back to the beginning with him and his Lausanne Covenant and even prior to that. He has repeatedly through the years bent, swayed, compromised, and completely abandoned sound doctrine so it’s in no way shocking or note worthy to point out his hypocrisy. Warning about Billy Graham’s slide into apostasy is like warning about the pope being Catholic. If you are for Romney and you are a Christian do so with the clear knowledge that Romney is not by definition a Christian and his “church” (LDS) don’t consider us “Christians” Mormons; so your vote for him is in complete awareness that you are voting for a Christ Denier. I don’t care if Billy G endorsed him or anyone else for that matter.

I do think it’s funny when Obama endorses Romney~

David Barton Rewriter of History Now has his own Bible!

I came across a tweet today and the link was to this very well written expose about David Barton, “Confirmed: David Barton’s Founders’ Bible Cites Pro-Slavery James Hammond as Proponent of America as Christian Nation,” By Warren Throckmorton. The link is not an endorsement. It was refreshing to see someone else warning about Barton’s blatant rewrite of history and now his addition of adding a Pro-Slavery non-believer to a “Bible” just seemed apropos for Barton’s next phase.

David Barton is a known and exposed False teacher. He is one of the biggest cons to surface in recent years. Barton is backed by Calvary Chapel, Chuck Missler, Glenn Beck, John Hagee, just to name a few other false teachers.

I can only pray that my brothers and sisters in the Lord would cease from their ear tickling long enough, step away from lifting up America as an idol of worship, and return to the True Word of God for direction in all things. The simple fact that there is an audience and a market for David Barton, Missler, Beck, et. al is sad, however it is a fulfillment of prophecy, the great falling away is apparent. Cling to the Words of Jesus and not some charlatan who’s out to make a buck and a name for himself. (Absolutely NOT an endorsement)

Worse Than The Patriot’s Bible: David Barton’s The Founders’ Bible (not an endorsement of the site- no link ever is) “Three years ago, it was the The Patriot’s Bible oh that just so happened to be printed with the rise of the Tea Party. Now, just in time for the 2012 elections, we have the The Founders’ Bible brought to us by the same people who gave us William P. Young’s The Shack.” End of Quote.

Barton is not the only one who’s written his own version of the Bible or published a Bible Commentary book to promote his own twisted interpretation of the Scripture. Another Pastor, Rick Warren wrote one for Barack Obama called the Poverty and Justice Bible. It was promoted by the likes of Tony Campolo and Bono. Same hat trick, different mad hatter.

Neil Armstrong’s Death Illuminates the Illuminators

Obama’s Republican opponent Mitt Romney echoed those sentiments, calling Armstrong an American hero whose passion for space, science and discovery will inspire him for the rest of his life.

“With courage unmeasured and unbounded love for his country, he walked where man had never walked before. The moon will miss its first son of earth,” Romney said.

That was the weirdest thing I have heard in a long time and I hear some far outlandish stuff! I was in an electronics store, pretending I was shopping for a Mac, when I logged onto the internet in the store and searched YahooNews to see what was going on. Who knew within hours of wondering aimlessly in an electronics store I would be thrust into a full out investigation into Romney and his obscure, yet very revealing, comment. I knew the comment sounded mystical or occultic but I had no idea how true that was.

I did not begin my search until today (Sunday) and I know it puts me behind the curve and has the potential to look like I didn’t think of this on my own, but truly I know I wasn’t the only one perturbed by Romney’s comment. However, it appears the majority of objection and ruse has come from “The Left,” those evil people who look for any reason to throw the “Right” under the political bus. I am not in camp Obama, I’m not a Lefty, nor am I liberal in any way; however, I will caution the “Right” right now, I do not hold punches no matter what political party you claim. I do not plan to vote for Romney that tells you the bias I come with. I most assuredly object to Romney’s Mormonism beliefs; although, he has every right and freedom to believe the way he does. I know Jesus loves him and died for him too; although, he rejects the Christ Jesus that I am saved by, perhaps Romney will come out of the beast of the false church he is in and thwart generations of “progress” in his family one day, but I doubt it. Trying to search out what Romney was truly referring to with his weird comment “son of earth” lead me into varying corners of conspiracy and I had to stop and pray and do a check into exactly what the issue is and see if there was a story here or not. Here’s what I have found.

Reference to “Son of Earth”

The only true reference I could find where this term was used was at a Tarot site. Here’s what they had to say in its context. {Remember a site link is Never an endorsement, links are used to site sources of information found and for you to do your own due diligence in checking how I’m using the information.}

This sign of science and wisdom has The Sacred Tarot admonition: “Remember, then, son of earth, that the mind is enlightened in seeking God with the eyes of the will. God has said, ‘Let there be light’, and light inundated space. Man should say, ‘Let truth show itself and good come to me . And if man possesses a healthy will, he will see the truth shine, and guided by it will attain all to which he aspires. If Veiled Isis (Virgo) should appear in the prophetic sign of thy horoscope, strike resolutely at the door of the future and it will open to you; but study for a long time the door you should enter. Turn your face toward the sun of justice, and knowledge of the true will be given you. Keep silent in regard to your intentions, so as not to be influenced by the contradictions of men.”

Virgo governs the color dark violet, and such herbs as valerian, millet, endive, skullcap, woodbine, barley, oats, rye, wheat, privet and succory. The talismanic gem Jasper as well as the number 2, comes under the influence of this sign. Virgo people are industrious, mentally active, studious, scientific, alert for facts, fluent, ingenious, witty and ever seek to know “How” results may be achieved. They are thoughtful, serious, careful, cautious, modest, and contemplative.

Venus is the sub-ruler of the last decanate of the sign of work, through The sign Taurus. There is the tendency to let others “work” them too much and to get work out of them. It is the submissiveness of this decanate which procures the keyword Renunciation. But as motives of this decanate often contribute much worthwhile to human welfare this satisfaction felt helps to compensate for past sacrifices. It is this tendency to attract little material reward for their labors that explains why Corona Borealis, and Iron Crown, was used by the ancient Masons to picture this section of the ecliptic in the stars.

A simple hieroglyph representing a sheaf of wheat, closed at the end to indicate conservation of energy, was and is used as the symbol of Virgo.” End of Quote (Emphasis mine) Source: Light of Egypt

Masons and The Zodiac

Masons love Virgo and apparently they have an affinity for the zodiac and astrology. When I say I know very little of Masons I hope you can tell by now how ignorant I truly am. I’m discovering a lot. It’s not pretty and it’s demonic and I’ve had to take several breaks from researching. The information I uncover about Masons often cross-sect with Mormonism. Cross reference Masons and Zodiac, I found the following:

“This is a confession from a Master Mason, without intending it to be so understood by the public, that Masonry is the remains of the religion of the Druids; the reasons for the Masons keeping this a secret I shall explain in the course of this work.

As the study and contemplation of the Creator [is] in the works of the creation, the Sun, as the great visible agent of that Being, was the visible object of the adoration of Druids; all their religious rites and ceremonies had reference to the apparent progress of the Sun through the twelve signs of the Zodiac, and his influence upon the earth. The Masons adopt the same practices. The roof of their Temples or Lodges is ornamented with a Sun, and the floor is a representation of the variegated face of the earth either by carpeting or Mosaic work.

Free Masons Hall, in Great Queen-street, Lincoln’s Inn Fields, London, is a magnificent building, and cost upwards of 12,000 pounds sterling. Smith, in speaking of this building, says (page 152,) “The roof of this magnificent Hall is in all probability the highest piece of finished architecture in Europe. In the center of this roof, a most resplendent Sun is represented in burnished gold, surrounded with the twelve signs of the Zodiac, with their respective characters;

Aries —–Libra
Taurus —Scorpio
Gemini —Sagittarius
Cancer —Capricorns
Leo ——-Aquarius
” End of Quote Source: Origin of Freemasonry Thomas Paine

I also came across a reference of Albert Pike in Morals and Dogmas regarding Virgo.

In the search bar for this document search for Virgo, it is revealing. Apparently the true form of Virgo is Isis. There’s reference to a full moon etc. I have invested a lot of time into this post just trying to pinpoint where Romney’s “Son of Earth” comment came from. What I have deduced is this, there is a direct correlation between his reference and Virgo, the zodiac talk has a lot of bearing among Masons, and Mormonism and Masonry have similarities that cannot be denied. Some Masons don’t know the connection of the Druids to their “craft” and since I have read that it’s held among the more advanced Masons it begs the question, Is Romney a Mason and if so how high is his degree? I read the whole entire Wikipedia biography of “Willard” Mitt Romney’s dad, George Wilken Romney. George W. Romney was born to a polygmist family that moved to Mexico, a Mormon Colony there, until the Mexicans drove them back to the US. The family then settled in Utah. George W. Romney eventually traveled to London, got some connections to people and returned to the US to a better degree of living. He eventually entered politics, where he pursued a run for Candidate for Presidency in 1968! There was some question about George W. Romney’s eligibility (ironic) to become president. He made some anti-Vietnam remarks that “he” himself was brainwashed while in the war and when he had returned was quickly against the war, this comment cost him his presidential bid. Romney Sr, was high ranking in his Mormon church. George W. Romney held the position of “The Twelve.”

Romney was a high priest in the Melchizedek priesthood of the LDS, and beginning in 1944 he headed the Detroit church branch (which initially was small enough to meet in a member’s house). –Wikipedia

Within the LDS Church, Romney remained active and prominent, serving as patriarch of the Bloomfield Hills Stake and holding the office of regional representative of the Twelve, covering Michigan and northern Ohio.– Wikipedia

As the title suggests, the responsibility of the Regional Representatives was to represent the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles in the various regions or areas of the church.

In The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church), the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles (also known as the Quorum of the Twelve, the Council of the Twelve Apostles, or simply the Twelve) is one of the governing bodies in the church hierarchy. Members of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles are apostles, with the calling to be prophets, seers, and revelators, evangelical ambassadors, and special witnesses of Jesus Christ.–Wikipedia

I have not done more investigation to whether “the Twelve” has any connection to the zodiac or not, or if this type of Church Governance has anything to do with Masonry, those parallels I assume are there and would be too much time to try to find out at this point. George W. Romney after his work as a Governor and in the Department of Urban Housing and Development, working closely with Richard Nixon, later George went on to pursue political activism by way of Volunteerism. He eventually teamed up with George H. Bush being appointed over the 10,000 points of Light Foundation. (More conspiracy –I know). I can draw my own conclusions that the Romney family has been “tapped” for some time for such a time as this. Will Romney be the first Mormon President? Does his faith have any bearing on what he would do as a President? I don’t know the answers to these questions. I came across this video below, it seems the man who made it was a Mormon at some time, anyway, it’s crude and not how I would present information but the overall point was poignant enough and I learned a thing about “Liberty” and the White horse as the Mormons believe it to be. Here it is and should not be construed as an endorsement of this guys youtube page-

Thomas Nelson Ditches Barton Book Not an endorsement of website.

Thomas Nelson publishers, owned by Harper Collins, which is owned by parent company owned by Rupert Murdoch, chose to remove Barton’s book, The Jefferson Lies, due to false facts being propagated. The forward of the book is by none other than Glenn Beck. Looks like Murdoch is still exercising control over Becks shenanigans.

“One critic attacks Barton personally, discrediting him as a historian.

Barton, a Texas-based “Christian nation” propagandist, has been spreading fundamentalist misinformation about the nation’s founding for years. He’s no historian; his only earned degree is in Christian education from Oral Roberts University.

Renown University of Chicago historian Martin Marty has put Barton in his crosshairs as well with harsh words as well.

Barton is publishing The Jefferson Lies, which most historians would title Barton’s Lies about Jefferson. Astonishingly, he twists a slight reference to Jefferson’s book on Jesus and turns it into a tract which, Barton says, Jefferson would use in order to convert the Indians to Christianity.

The author appeared on last night’s Daily Show to argue his stance that Jefferson was not an atheist or secularlist, but a religious man. Jon Stewart answered back as the discussion more towards free speech and religious persecution.

Watch the video here.” (as always links are for information)

Barton is distorting history and trying to make every dead founding father into a postmortem Christian. (Coincidentally the Mormon religion baptized the founding fathers posthumously.) Barton has been exposed for his faulty historical accounts by others beside the liberal left who would obviously have motive to expose him. One person who opposed him very boldly is Christian J. Pinto. However, as much as Christian J. Pinto spoke in exposing and revealing Barton’s fallicies he also covers for others at the same time and works in conjunction with people who support the CNP, hence Pinto cannot be trusted completely. Take his information for what it’s worth. There are constant double mindedness and “double agents” for a lack of a better word who are playing this game of “Hegelian conflict.” I am no expert in this area but it’s basically setting up both arguments but setting up another false belief to catch both opposing sides. Think of our political system, the Republicans are Conservative and for family values, this implies that Democrats and Liberals are heathens and are evil, both sides have done evil things, both parties have made deals with the devil to some degree and more often than not they play the part of being against each other when in effect many of them believe the same, their differences are a show for you the voter. You can see this now in Christianity, there are some who claim Barton is a “Patriot” and a “true conservative” while he is Ecumenical and very liberal in his beliefs so that he can get those across the isle to endorse his objectives. It’s all a game to them, don’t get caught up in it. Do you own research on Jefferson and the rest of the “founding fathers.” Many of them were of the Enlightenment era and sought Humanist goals and respected forms of Gnosticism. Abraham Lincoln consulted a Medium (a spiritualist which the Bible directs believers NOT to do), George Washington was a Mason and he never took communion, he didn’t even want to be president at first. There’s a lot Barton says that is bogus, why is he rewriting history, what does he have to gain from it?

America’s Founding Fathers are Mormons-

“Before I left St. George, the spirits of the dead gathered around me, wanting to know why we did not redeem them. Said they, “You have had the use of the Endowment House for a number of years, and yet nothing has ever been done for us. We laid the foundation of the government you now enjoy, and we never apostatized from it, but we remained true to it and were faithful to God.”  These were the signers of the Declaration of Independence, and they waited on me for two days and two nights….

“I straightway went into the baptismal font and called upon Brother McCallister to baptize me for the signers of the Declaration of Independence, and fifty other eminent men. (Discourses of Wilford Woodruff, Salt Lake City: Bookcraft, 1946, pp. 160-61)

“These noble spirits came there with divine permission-evidence that this work of salvation goes forward on both sides of the veil.

“At a later conference, in April 1898, after he became President of the Church, President Woodruff declared that “those men who laid the foundation of this American government and signed the Declaration of Independence were the best spirits the God of heaven could find on the face of the earth. They were choice spirits … [and] were inspired of the Lord” (CR, April 1898, p. 89). We honor those men today. We are the grateful beneficiaries of their noble work.” President (of LDS) Wilford Woodruff

Piece of David Barton’s bio:

“After graduating from college (Oral Roberts College with a Bachelor’s degree in Christian education), Barton served as a church youth director. He taught math and science, and eventually became principal at Aledo Christian School, which (in 1981) grew out of Aledo Christian Center, a church started by his parents.

In 1987 Barton formed Specialty Research Associates, which “focuses on the historical research of issues relating to America’s constitutional, moral, and religious heritage.” Specialty Research Associates has submitted amicus curiae briefs in a number of court cases.

Barton is the founder and president of WallBuilders, a national organization that presents America’s forgotten history and heroes, with an emphasis on the moral, religious, and constitutional heritage.” Source: Click here to read full bio (not an endorsement, information above in parenthesis mine).

False historian, false teacher, Christians need to be aware.

I remember him always being paraded around in this type of flair….

No one paid much mind to the guy wearing the American flag table cloth shirt and ten gallon hat, but once the right suit was found and of course Brannon handed him over to Glenn Beck, the rest is history. Barton has been exposed for years my friends, do some research.

Mitt Romney For President

Pat Robertson of 700 Club says, Mitt’s alright…

Kirk Cameron, Glenn Beck’s (devout Mormon) new comrade, once said “Mormons aren’t Christian” but I’m sure he’s ok with it now…

Don’t forget Kirk Cameron used Glenn Beck’s show to promote his (idolatrous) film called “Monumental.” (see here for post)

James Robison, another one of Mormon Glenn Beck’s friends on Beck’s program…(link is not an endorsement)

The real “first Mormon President” was Glenn Beck. He’s the one whom all Evangelical’s found favor with based on the “Moral high ground.” Glenn Beck was able to bridge the gap, to cross over, to join with the “Christian” camp on the grounds of Patriotism, and false pride in a pseudo-Christian American foundation.

Some Historical Facts on Mormons’ Version of History:

Mormon’s believe that the “Founding Fathers” of America visited their fourth Mormon President (Wilford Woodruff) while he was in a Mormon temple. Later that president baptized, Post-Mordem, (yes that means to baptize someone after they’re dead) into the Mormon faith. This is why Mormons have such a strong “belief” that the Founders of the US are to be revered.

During his time as the temple president, Woodruff was baptized on behalf of the signers of the Declaration of Independence and other Founding Fathers. He stated in a September 16, 1877 discourse that he had been visited by the departed spirits of these men:

The spirits of the dead gathered around me, wanting to know why we did not redeem them … These were the signers of the Declaration of Independence…. I thought it very singular, that notwithstanding so much work had been done, and yet nothing had been done for them … I straightway went into the baptismal font and called upon brother McCallister [sic] to baptize me for the signers of the Declaration of Independence, and fifty other eminent men, making one hundred in all, including John Wesley, Columbus, and others….[17] source:Wikipedia Wilford Woodruff

You can view their account of their history of this “vision” on one of their own websites: (not an endorsement).

It appears the body of Christ is being approached by those who say they come in the “name of Christ” but don’t share the same faith in the same Savior of the World. It’s totally ok though to vote for a Mormon as President, it was ok to join hands in the name of America with Glenn Beck, join a tea party, buy up seed and provisions for a coming apocalypse like the Mormons do, and agree to disagree on Theological Doctrine for the sake of “Morality.” We’ll see how this pans out for America. I find it ironic and hypocritical that some Right Wing Christians who attack Barack Obama for being an unsubstantiated “Muslim” think it’s acceptable to elect a Mormon. Once a Mormon is elected as President, there’s no reason for a Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist, or Atheist not to be president, so long as they’re “Moral.” Hey these are not my words, I’m quoting your choice for Religious Right, Conservative “Christians.” I am by no means a liberal or a Democrat, and the more I find out about the Republican Party, neither am I one of them! I suppose I am left to be outside the identifiable groups (Rep/Dem/Lib) and be amongst the other castaways. I kind of like it out here in the political abyss; it frees me up to see both sides, and use God given Discernment rather than rely on others interpretations.
